So, for the record, you're saying none of the work announced will be carried out?As incredible as it may be, it seems many are.
Oh it’s loud everywhere but you can’t make out what’s being said as the quality is so bad. The new one should be a massive improvement round the entire groundReally? It's loud as fuck where i stand, always say i wish they would turn it down...especially when that knacker on the mic screeches down it!!
Fair do's.
Sunderland AFC has committed to a new multi-million-pound investment programme to improve fan experience at the Stadium of Light.

TBH I'd rather they switched it off after the music coz that announcer gets on my nerves. Irritating as f*ck.Oh it’s loud everywhere but you can’t make out what’s being said as the quality is so bad. The new one should be a massive improvement round the entire ground![]()
Those issues are tantamount to a poorly run club, so whilst purely cosmetic, the announcement does give the feeling that the owner actually knows what the SOL looks like and the state it is in, which is a start I suppose. People acknowledge that Clarke and Ballard are already gone so there’ll be circa 10 million to spend in the summer, or should be, but I don’t think anyone trusts the ownership to spend it correctly. For me the moment the mag allocation was announced, was the moment KLD’s role as owner was untenable, the disastrous decisions since then merely reinforce my cynicism in the ownership. I’m actually supportive in general of the model and growing to get to the premier league, but I sense this summer we will realise that though the model is correct in theory, the people attempting to implement it are not.If they wanted to hoodwink people into renewing, it would probably have been better to announce an investment in the team rather than the infrastructure.
Do you really think any pissed off fans are going to renew on the basis of new flood lights and a PA system?
Jesus !!!Maybe we need to be at a certain level to meet the guidelines set out by UEFA

Careful Pal.This has got to be lies , I read on hear KLD won't spend any money and he's selling the club , I'm sure someone will complain we are spending on the stadium instead of players
It hasn’t been a disaster since day one no, but the BCB fiasco in particular is one of the biggest acts of self harm I can ever recall a football club presiding over. It’s only a minority not renewing but a sizable one, just look at how gates have tailed off. The QPR game on Saturday was particularly ominous. Leicester and Hull was understandable given it was midweek. There was around 34K there on Saturday I would say, which is signs of where things are headed, especially given it was a Saturday 3PMI reckon you'll probably see it's a miniority who won't renew. In my opinion ST sales will be fairly close to this seasons. They are far, far better than Donald and Methven but that argument has been done to death on here and it's quite obvious certain people have made their minds up and won't be changing their opinion no matter what the club does. We know they've made mistakes with recruitment and the BCB but they've also done a lot of good here inside the 3 years they've been in charge but people are making out it's been a disaster since day one which it very obviously isn't.
Without reading the whole thread, Does this funding come out of our FFP budget which i always thought Maintenance did? Hopefully not and it can only be a good thing.
I highly doubt it's a sign KLD is selling up, but on the flip side, so many rumours leaked out , and the last time our owners borrowed 10M (That is if the loan rumour is true, which looks so) they then sold up not long after so it could go either way.
It's a good thing whatever, and I remember CM face dropping on STID when that young lad say's it doesn't matter what music you play unless you change the PA system. I may be having a memory fart totally here but was a figure of 50K mentioned for a new PA system? I may be just imagining that mind.
people on here said some of it was under short..?Are you a relative of chemical ali?it started under Donald when he sacked nearly everybody and it continued to decay under the milky bar kid

We're arguing over nowt hereI can't imagine those in the BCB would be too happy about having 1,000 people stood infront of them should the safe standing be in the home end of the North Stand.
It is exactly about safety. If not to enhance safety, what would be the point in putting it in in the South Stand, where people already stand, for example?
NUFC have safe standing in their away end too. Fans in the away end stand regardless, railings just makes it safer.
Not sure how it relates to throwing objects either way.
We’ll be a few thousand down imo. I do hope you’re right, but it’s no surprise that people are far from happy. I still think we’re a joke off the pitch.I reckon you'll probably see it's a miniority who won't renew. In my opinion ST sales will be fairly close to this seasons. I agree with that. I don't think it means they should go though. This is the first season they've struggled with recruitment for me too.It hasn’t been a disaster since day one no, but the BCB fiasco in particular is one of the biggest acts of self harm I can ever recall a football club presiding over. It’s only a minority not renewing but a sizable one, just look at how gates have tailed off. The QPR game on Saturday was particularly ominous. I'd be amazed if they change the away set up ,for a 1000 of them only , when given the throwing incidents we want them all as subdued as possibleI’d be pretty amazed if they don’t mean the away end.
If you are starting to introduce safe standing the logical thing would be to cover the two areas were standing is most prominent, which would be the Roker end and the away end
I'd be surprised if it's that many but we'll see. We have lots to improve on off the pitch but in truth that's been an issue long before KLD was in charge imo. We’ll be a few thousand down imo. I do hope you’re right, but it’s no surprise that people are far from happy. I still think we’re a joke off the pitch.
