SoL To Undergo Multi-Million-Pound Investment Programme

I'm upper on my account info
Block u28
The L blocks below me

I'd be surprised if they're there like. It'd make a lot more sense to have safe standing to enhance fans safety in places where they already stand - ie. the away end. Honestly wouldn't worry about it.

Although, this club...

Net worth =/= free cash. If I were a billionaire, I wouldn't cash in a £50m long term investment earning more than the interest on a £10m loan so I could stick £10m into a football club, I'd borrow the money instead.
I’d make two points - if we are now debt funded then that rather negates the benefits of having an apparently wealthy owner and secondly borrowing to undertake what is essentially maintenance is absolutely no indication of intent gong forward.

Dunno marra, just what I heard. Mr Bruce is taking control of the club marketing stuff. Apparently SAFC are getting our own bespoke Hummel kit also.
Have them on sale in the city centre would be better but anything different is an improvement

So no repositioning of away supporters....

And no protection of the home supporters below them?

Well done Sunderland.
The choice is they stay there or move back to the Roker End or we spend tens of millions redeveloping the whole ground to move them elsewhere. Surely it’s better to leave them there and keep the Roker End

with another store in the Galleries or Metro centre can't remember which one I heard. But town centre will open eventually.

Sunderland AFC has committed to a new multi-million-pound investment programme to improve fan experience at the Stadium of Light.

We are the beneficeries of thos investment however this is for the concert goes improved experience, not football fans.

I'd say they want a standing singing block both ends to try and lift the atmosphere.
The " safe " bit isn't really about safety it's just in relation to a set area to stand
Can't see them wanting to help create a better away day experience with fans standing above us etc
Doesn't fit in with the object throwing concerns.

Personally I’ve always thought the club should just go back to pre 2012 and take the hit on revenue and have them in SD and JD again. Yes club loses some money but it makes it much easier and would sell much greater volumes

this is capital expenditure which is what companies borrow for..safe standing is not eswsnritla maintenance..its a good thing to do of course but not essential..nor is phone signal

all thw wealthiest clubs use debt funding as well...here is man city owners..https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/mancity-debt-loan-accounts-borson-21130764
For KLD to be there it's not for a bloke to buy a f***ing box. Had enough of your ramblings yesterday. Talk sense or have a break.

I can't imagine those in the BCB would be too happy about having 1,000 people stood infront of them should the safe standing be in the home end of the North Stand.

It is exactly about safety. If not to enhance safety, what would be the point in putting it in in the South Stand, where people already stand, for example?

NUFC have safe standing in their away end too. Fans in the away end stand regardless, railings just makes it safer.

Not sure how it relates to throwing objects either way.

At least we have someone in charge in the marketing department in Bruce who knows what he is doing. He was a huge success in marketing the brand of the MLS and got it to where it is now.👍
