Moving the turnstiles to an outside perimeter would be a quick and cost effective fix for thisAll welcome news.
Shame there's nothing about improving the concourses, but the main factor there is the lack of space which it's difficult to see what they can do much about.
Wonder what the happy clapping bed wetting gravy stained posters on here think of thisSunderland AFC has committed to a new multi-million-pound investment programme to improve fan experience at the Stadium of Light.

Aye if they can live with it for a bit or live elsewhere . I would imagine it would be a significant detractor to anyone buying a football stadium if they know they will have to start consultations on making a ground come to spec. It's incredibly rare to get that level of spend back via an increased purchase price. Most buyers will simply rip the things out and go again irrespective of age.
Why would they need to speak to Architects?its taken far less than three years..if they are announcing it now then they must have had to speak with archietects and other professionals for ages to get it to even this point..
certaion ground work is immune from ffp
I can’t imagine it would make any difference to the atmosphere tbh. Is anyone actually sitting in there anyway?2000 rails seats in Roker end - don’t 2000 already stand
If it was the full end I think it would’ve really brought on the atmosphere, don’t think 2k will make much difference
Never noticed
I hear announcements fine
I'd put it way down a big list of important stuff I want from a football game .
Good start I think. Hopefully if there's enough demand they will install more in the future. Be great to get at least the whole rear of the south stand.2000 rails seats in Roker end - don’t 2000 already stand

Be interesting to see how investment in the stadium, is going to reflect in the transfers into the team, and out the door. The negative will be no investment in team, all spent on upgrading the stadium. Which it needs btw.
Yup, big mistake. So no repositioning of away supporters....
And no protection of the home supporters below them?
Well done Sunderland.
All welcome news.

some of that would need to be done via planning permission i would have thought...? safe standing area would certainly need draftsman work of some kind? Why would they need to speak to Architects?
