SoL To Undergo Multi-Million-Pound Investment Programme

Good news mate. It needs it as when you come into the sol from Southwick was towards ticket office, you see the sol and East Stand is the first thing you see.. it was dirty and minging on the outside.
Yep, the bit that's done is a couples of shades lighter and doesn't have the abandoned look. Tbh, I think a lot of people won't notice it's been done until it's pointed out. But it needed doing and it restores a bit of pride in the Stadium.

I see the usual roster of posters spouting negativity are out in force
Who gives a shite about phones man, you gan to watch the match, not fanny on with a phone.
This is part of the problem and people can’t see the bigger picture. If the club want to make money they have to improve the facilities. If they want people to go in earlier and drink or eat and spend money in the ground, then people will expect to be able to go on their phones.
Would also make sense, and fit in with the club's environmental commitments (solar farm at the AoL etc)
Plans for a new water retention facility as well. Club spending thousands just on watering the pitch. Could gather the water off the roof and store it.

Why are they not carrying out work right now ? It’s desperately needed ! Why the ‘grand’ announcement ?? It’s all about appeasement pre ST renewal
“Sick of the way the club is being run- sustainability, BCB Fiasco, No Stikers- F@&k em! I’m not renewing!”

“What’s that you say, a new PA system- brilliant- sign me up!”

Just doesn’t happen. Really unsure why people think this is a ploy to sell season tickets.

What is it then ? Why the ‘big’ announcement ? Under their watch the SOL has regressed into a shithole, it didn’t have to !

Errr the timing of the announcement pretty much confirms its a ploy to sell season tickets! Renewal week!

Errrrr…..not if you think about it for more than 10 seconds.

Are you suggesting it would be better to announce that an area of the ground will be standing next season AFTER people have renewed their season cards in that area?

Changes to ground configuration would have to be announced before renewal packs are sent out.

Therefore, the fact they were sending renewal packs meant they were forced to announce the stadium investment.

Do you accept the announcement of the investment in the stadium had to be made prior to sending out renewal packs (some people understood the new ground configuration?).

Of course you do.

Therefore, you will understand why the investment had to be announced prior to renewal packs being sent.

No im suggesting that they have issued the plan for investment into the club / stadia on the eve of season ticket renewal week on pupose to create positivity and get a bump in renewals

Yes it’s a sweetener. And it’s the usual open ended promise. They should have been on top of this since they acquired the club instead they’ve let it get worse.

Good news. Shame we can’t move the concourse out a bit beyond the turnstiles.
Any improvements are welcomed. I’ve been in Leicester Tigers stadium today (look at me) and the newer section of the stadium is light years above many Championship grounds albeit much of what I’ve seen is probably corporate

They could've announced safe standing 6 month ago.

They didn't need to announce the rest of it at all and could've just let people be like, ooo new speakers, the first game next season.

are you suggesting that the below quotations from the AM announcement have nothing to do with marketing of the PM season ticket renewal announcement?

‘The Club will be collaborating with world renowned partners on both projects, bringing together international brand recognition with local expertise to deliver best-in-class solutions.’

‘maximising the environment for our team to bring our playing identity to life.’

‘transformational impact on the matchday experience’
