Yeah, planning, costing, tender, procurement etc. would take until the end of the following season to just begin any extension in reality.Even if the club wanted to build now they wouldn't be able to. There'll be planning to get through at the very least and that could take a fair while. They'll no doubt be looking into it at least
100%This leads me to believe its gonna be an east stand extension
Premier League only requires a minimum away allocation of 3,000 if your capacity is over 30,000 so we wouldn't need to have more seats for away fans. The cups however are different, 10% of capacity for League Cup and 15% for FA Cup.If and when we extend by 5-7K we're going to need that number of extra seats for away fans.
You're right. I went to edit my post but it was too late. Corporate is much more than boxes - the west stand could easily have massive concourses for corporate and people take their seat in the south stand for the gameThis leads me to believe its gonna be an east stand extension
Around 8,500 as the North East Upper Corner would be similar to the North West Upper going from 21 rows to 27 due to the proximity of the road behind and you lose around 1,000 seats (rows 42-44) off the back of the current East Stand and NEC.Would east stand take up by another 8k?
It’d only be that amount if they actually extended. From the way the interim CEO is talking, it sounds like the priority is adding corporate offerings. That may just be some kind of redevelopment. And the fact that costs are being mentioned as a factor against, I doubt it’d be a major redevelopment of the full stand.Would east stand take up by another 8k?
Yeah padded seats at premium prices with luxury lounges to go into built into the new extended out stands is the way to go. Boxes as ive said before take away a lot of capacity removing rows 37 onwards so they are under the new upper tier like the West Stand and per person per game only bring in £157. £30k per season for a 10-seater.Corporate is much more than boxes - the west stand could easily have massive concourses for corporate and people take their seat in the south stand for the game

Depends on the away allocation and the subsequent segregation doesn't it?Does anyone know why last Saturdays crowd was up to 47000,was their extra seats made available?
It will be expensive but I think they should just build it to the original capable capacity of 64k I believe.
If we strengthen the squad correctly in the summer and have a better season, demand will increase and the costs to build will only increase in years to come.
The padded seats that go on sale in West Stand and North Stand are now regularly selling out and the away allocation has been increased from 3,086 to 3,110 with the new DDA platform added. Add to that at the beginning of the season the unused sponsors/Premier League partners in P15, P17 and P19 were not going on general sale and they have been so we get over 47,000 if home and away is sold out.Does anyone know why last Saturdays crowd was up to 47000,was their extra seats made available?
East stand to mirror West with planning permission for South to be one large bank if needed. Also multi story on site of current car park behind east and indoor gaming arena / club shop / club museum as part of the stand.
And that's if they put the application in now. Will be a long while as you sayYeah, planning, costing, tender, procurement etc. would take until the end of the following season to just begin any extension in reality.
Dont really know what you mean hereCorporate is much more than boxes - the west stand could easily have massive concourses for corporate and people take their seat in the south stand for the game
The south stand can so be a single tier with corporate seating, but the meals etc served in the west standDont re
