Arsenals roof slopes down towards the pitch all the way around. They have high-tech pumps on the roof and store and reuse all the rainwater.

The council are not a disgrace, we have no idea what has happened but we have probably come to a compromise
 
Might be worth installing proper safe standing which bolt the seats up, this allows a x1.5 or even x2 ration in Germany, I believe Everton’s stadium is designed to factor this in. So if the entire south, swc and sec was done if the regs did change to allow it you would have an extra 6k spaces on x1.5 ratio, also means you can go back down if demand did drop off and you wouldn't have the empty seat issue people are concerned with, it could be done very cost efficiently too
 
One good thing about having a clamour for tickets, with thousands of people missing out, is that we're more likely to get good crowds for the less attractive cup games. When anyone can get a league ticket any time they want (which they pretty much could before this season) then they'll do that rather than go to an early round cup fixture. But if they are the only games they can get a ticket for, as is the case for some other premier league clubs, then the attendances should go up

That is a very good idea. If we’re allowed to do it, we should consider getting this done as soon as.

Good point.. fingers crossed. But it will need the club to actually try and field strong sides

The club should incentivise the selling of league and cup match by match sales. Tickets could have gone on sale at 9 this morning for those with say 10 purchases in the last year. Then the 1 match general sale after at 10am. If they announce this is how it will going forward it encourages people to buy more tickets. I was never against the Walsall ticket carry on a few years back or the fa cup ballots even further back.

No it isn't.

It's 'let's make sure we're established in the premier league with a genuine demand for 10000 extra seats before we extend the stadium'.

In early May we were planning a play off game but also expecting our next season to be in the championship.

6 months later we're building the colosseum.

I’m surprised it hasn’t been pushed more tbh by larger companies involved in ticketing.
Especially by the likes of livenation given the multi use of sports grounds as concert venues and they’d make more money in a 1.5 or even 2 seating area for concerts as well as the clubs benefitting on match days.

The club weren’t, luckily they’re forward thinking and ambitious.

Clubs all around us are extending, in similar positions. We need to keep moving and not have previous failures hold us back.

We don’t need to wait. The demand is there. Nobody is saying spade in the ground now. But it needs to be planned in soon.

Is there ever a 'safe' time to do it?

I think we have to just go for it. Clearly demand there for at least another 5 -8k given sell outs every week and how quickly season tickets went.
