The club seem to be getting a big club mentality, which is great news and long overdue. I'll trust them to make the right call on when to go large stadium wise. This definitely seems a relevant thread now with a lot more traffic
Its as though a lot more are getting the big club mentality..lets keep it that way
yeah its just we need a lot of support to wake up and think big and not waddle along with their glass half empty.......the worst has happenedThe club seem to be getting a big club mentality, which is great news and long overdue. Or any club in today's football obsessed world.Looking at the demand for tickets at the moment it makes you wonder just what this club could be with a sustained run of relative success.

Luke 09s painting them over the summerI heard that.
But they need painting.
He tried to use the lifts without aircon in the motor rooms. I had to pull him out of the shit. And the trees that were originally meant to be planted at the AOL lining his garden.
Spares for the lift in his transit van.
Hopefully we'll be successful one day, it would be nice. We've already sold over 37k season tickets, a successful Sunderland would sell 45k season tickets easily.
Our ground is to small for a successful Sunderland.
Are they capping it at 37,000? The club will know how many they could have sold and therefore if they need to extend. They always said they wanted to as that was the reason they bought it. At marseille they didn’t own the stadium and were tied to host they could develop. Let’s hope they do it, I would love to see it with the top tier all the way around. We've already sold over 37k season tickets, a successful Sunderland would sell 45k season tickets easily.

How many years have we been saying that?Looking at the demand for tickets at the moment it makes you wonder just what this club could be with a sustained run of relative success.
Even if they extended, they would still cap the ST sales at some point like most other clubs do as some cap it in the 20s.Are they capping it at 37,000? That was when there were limited varieties of entertainment though. Nowt else to do, so go to the football. Once technology developed and people could be entertained in other ways crowds dropped off - same as the Cinema, Theatre, Bowling etc.Even as a second division club we used to get crowds of over 60,000 .So imagine what we could get if we got a sniff of success.Oh don’t forget 50% of our catchment area is whater.

I agree. I think we might be wise to try and stay in the Premier League for a couple of years first. The SOL is the right size. Even if we were to establish ourselves in the prem demand will stabilise after the novelty has worn off.
Novelty of what? The SOL is the right size. Even if we were to establish ourselves in the prem demand will stabilise after the novelty has worn off.
I think he might mean novelty of top flight football, like.Novelty of what?
