And with no social safety measures on a sliding scale you say. That's a lot bonkers.Start reopening everything.
If the most vulnerable have been vaccinated there’s no reason not to.
We can’t keep pushing back. This isn’t a life.

Absolutely no chance of full normal by the end of May.Doesn't work like that, things start to open in March, likely the tier situation. and then back to full normal by end of May. It's a slow process.but I think folk will go along with it on this time line.
I hope so. It was a crap idea from the start. There is significant talk that the differing tier system on a local and regional level is going in the bin.
Your deadline was the end of March a few weeks ago. Why have you moved it to May?Well what will you do?

Aye he did have a March deadline. He had a deadline for some point last year as well. It’s funny but I could swear your original “deadline” was March...it’s almost as tho you’re really just doing what you’re told.
Our lasses Gran has had her first vaccine and now wants to break the rules.Once the vulnerable have been vaccinated, compliance with the rules will decrease hugely imo.
Our lasses Gran has had her first vaccine and now wants to break the rules. There will be plenty old folk in the same boat.
I can understand their point of view like. Our lasses Gran is in her 90s and could go at anytime so feels like she is wasting precious time. Tough situation. My neighbour was vaccinated a couple of weeks ago mate and his house is now like a social club![]()

The only vunerable family member she has is our lasses mam who is diabetic but she already has to see her anyway.Canny gift, she’s fine but could kill one of her family members.

We are never ever going to get to a point where everybody is safe. Bryan's obese dad should have used the last year to lose some weight to give himself a better chance if our lasses Gran gives him Covid.Grandma is vaccinated - but Grandmas can still spread.
Grandma decides to see family and passes virus on to little Johnny.
Little Johnny is asymptomatic.
Little Johnny passed virus to Little Bryan.
Little Bryan passses disease on to his obese, 45 year old Dad.
Little Bryan is an orphan because Grandma decided she was fine and didn't need the rules anymore.
Not difficult to explain or understand - in short, nobody is safe until everybody is.
100% 22 days after my grandparents are vaccinated I’m going round and don’t give a damn if it’s against the rules.Agreed mate. The fella next to me has been locked away for a nearly a year and now just wants to see his family. As the vaccinations continue, you will see more and more families meeting up

I would Agree with this , economy has to be almost fully open come mid September or large numbers (not just few) of younger people will rebel , can’t just go on and onOnce the vulnerable have been vaccinated, compliance with the rules will decrease hugely imo.

That’s not a given as it’s not known. Restrictions will be lifted before everyone has been vaccinated so do you suggest Grandma sees no one until the full country is vaccinated?Grandma is vaccinated - but Grandmas can still spread.

Don’t go hardly anywhere else to spread it. I’ve sacrificed too much for too long, If that means I’m made of less sterner stuff than people who want this go on till the autumn and beyond then so be it.Even though you could catch it from them and spread it? Cheers for that.
It’s an unsustainable position. That’s not a given as it’s not known. Restrictions will be lifted before everyone has been vaccinated so do you suggest Grandma sees no one until the full country is vaccinated?
