I've never played before

and I doubt i'll ever play again

But (i think) they expect me to turn up in all the white clothes thing and with a bat etc

I'm about 6ft tall medium/athletic build.

Would anyone be willing to lend me this stuff for the day?

I 'played' once. b'stards gave me some pads that came up to me feckin tits. fell flat on me face 1st ball & got stumped :evil:
 
Keep your eye on the lads googly, paddle scoop it. If there's a slower ball, get yourself into position and reverse sweep.
