Four British men into the last 32. On paper, Murray has the toughest task against Berrettini. Evans 50:50 vs Cilic, Draper likewise vs Khachanov and Norrie should beat Rune.

That's an outrageously good set of tennis that mind

If Nick Kyrgios wins this match it's the most impressive win of his entire career IMO. Would be more impressive than the Nadal at Wimbledon win, more impressive than any win over Novak or Fed, more impressive than owt he's done. If he beats a human wall who never gets tired in best of five on hard court in these insanely humid conditions then it's a notch above the lot.

Very impressive by Kyrgios that, should have no problem getting to the final now looking at the draw as long as he keeps his head.

He's something else mind, how athletic he is combined with that level of power at that young age... just a freak. Great match. Just a highlight reel of incredible shots and incredible rallies. Gotta feel for Tiafoe there though. If he served better he probably would have won. Really good to see him dig in and fight like that cos it's not something he's always done.

Finally time for some kip

Yeah these late night matches are a killer!
I agree, Tiafoe's serve let him down but for a 19 yr old to win three successive five set matches and over 13 hours is some going.
As Courier pointed out Nadal has won the French open in less time!
And they say footballers are too tired to play two games in a week
Kip time for me too.

Sinner, Alcaraz has all the potential for the next great big rivalry, Sinner just needs to sort that second serve out that cost him the other day. The US open has always been a weird slam in terms of winners so really hoping they can both go toe to toe with Novak and Nadal at the other slams next year and that this isn't just a one off. Tennis needs it, as its hard to take it seriously when you have the likes of Casper Rudd getting to two slam finals in a year.

It's Ruud not Rudd. Rudd played Mike in Friends.

Well done young Carlitos. Sorts that serve out he's gonna be unstoppable for a long while.
Will hire Ivanisivic to sort that out once Djokovic retires ;)

Absolutely chuffed for him, brilliant young player, deserved number 1 (Ruuds had an excellent season but has not won a single tournament in the 500,1000, or major level).

Think we are going to get a great rivalry with Alcaraz v Sinner (match of the tournament on the mens side that one). Krygios/Medvedev 2nd

Australia 2023 could be the year Djokovic gets stopped (assuming he gets to play), Nadal, Medvedev, Krygios, Alcaraz, Sinner, Zverev, Berrettini, Tsitsipas, Felix, Thiem (who i hope gets back to his best) - what a tournament that could be
Rudd ? He is basically the modern day David Ferrer , decent enough solid player but shouldn’t be getting to two slam finals in a year.
His french open draw was a cakewalk but he his good enough on clay to get to the final on merit. His hard court form this year has shown a huge improvement
