Strange how Tuesday was meant to be the big day with so many big names on both sides in action, plus all the Brits, and today was thought to be a quiet day to start it off, yet you had Gauff winning at 15, Zverev and Tsitsipas, 2 of the next 3 favourites (after the Big 3) both crashing out, and Osaka flopping as well. Sabalenka has had a poor 2019, so her losing wasn't a big surprise, but it's another top 10 seed out, so not been a great day for those 20-22 year olds. Ostapenko has been hit and miss, mostly miss for a while now, but with her losing, and defending semi final points from last year, she's now outside the top 75, which is crazy considering she won a slam 2 years ago and is just 22.

The odds will be far higher for them all to lose because Konta and Evans are big favourites. Norrie is a slight fave, with Swan, Dart and Ward marginal underdogs. Clarke are Jubb are both around 2/1, so would boost an acca a bit if included.
It's 142/1 at Bet365 for all the Brits to win. Some of the odds have changed since I last checked. Dart and Swan and both now very very slight favourites, Ward and Jubb have drifted out a bit.
It's 1400/1 for them all to lose.

Probably a lost cause if you're relying on Dimitrov to beat Djokovic!
Medvedev might be the only one who might cause him a problem now if he plays that weird style that Djokovic hates. Anderson's scoreline was impressive though, might be playing himself into form.

Evans and Ward are both 2 sets up. If they both win, they play each other in the next round, meaning there will definitely be a Brit involved (in either singles competition) by Saturday, which would be better than last year. Would be a great win for Ward if he could finish it.

Sam Querrey hit one of the luckiest shots you'll ever see to save set point in the second set to stop Thiem going up 2-0.
Thiem then played an awful breaker, put in an amount of effort that Kyrgios would be proud of for the last set and a half and won only two points on his own serve in the fourth set. Really really weird.

Far too much going on to keep up. Back in the day the first couple of days would be mostly routine, here you have Federer dropping his first set, Muguruza a set down, 5 Brits already through (overall).
Really good how there's the 6 red button option so you can flick backwards and forwards. Jay Clarke serving for the 2nd set for a 3rd time, but in trouble again.

Konta, unsurprisingly, makes it 6 now. Clarke locked at one set all and Jubb on later. Jubb's intriguing, coming from the US college circuit. Qualified for Eastbourne and lost in straight sets to the eventual champion. On rankings and experience, he should be in for a real mismatch with Sousa but you never quite know.
As expected, tricky draws for Norrie and Evans in round 2, although Evans on grass could trouble Basilashvili.
Dart may have a chance against Haddad-Maia, although the latter will be full of confidence after beating Muguruza. Konta's draw isn't easy. She should beat Siniakova, although the latter is a solid player then it's Stephens and potentially the rising star Anisimova or Kvitova (depending on the latter's fitness after not playing since May).

Clarke 2-1 up now, so hopefully he can come through. Yeah, looking forward to watching Jubb, he won a few matches around the 100 level in the UK grass challengers as well as the Eastbourne quals, but this is another step up as you say. Good he got the WC though as he would have automatically received a US Open WC had he been American.
New low for Muguruza, but not a massive surprise given the year she's had. I doubt she'd have done much given her section and form, but R1 exit at Wimbledon is very disappointing given her past history here, and sad to see. Huge opportunity though for either Dart of Haddad Maia to reach R3 though and a probable match with the #1.
I'd fancy Evans to win that match, despite the difference in ranking, shame Ward couldn't have got over the line, given he was 2 sets up with a break in the 3rd, and also one game away in the decider.
I see Watson is 2/1 to win tomorrow (on Court 1), so a little wider than I thought, but still a half decent chance.
Clarke almost home now. 5-3 30-15 on Rubin's serve.
That's 5 match points that have come and gone now for Jay. But he has a 6th coming up.

Sharapova into a decider. Not sure if it was just because the crowd wanted a third set or to do with the suspension, but a lot of crowd support for Parmentier. Could be a second successive Wimbledon R1 exit for Maria.
Filling up a bit now mate. I guess everyone would have just wanted to see Federer until the very end, and then left for a break after his 4 sets, and then slowly getting back to their seats. It was almost full for Kerber earlier in the day.
But yeah, doesn't look like the hottest ticket in town at the moment.

Federer was shocking today must play better if he hopes to beat jay Clarke

Nadal should have been in real trouble in that first set but the guy blew it and now Nadal v krygios is match of the 2nd round, krygios will fancy his chances of his serve fires and if he actually takes the match seriously!!
