Sorry if i'm a bit late to hoy a couple of names in but i've been on my jollies, my mate Scott who plays for Hylton & their team captain Chris Allen would both be up for a game if you can fit them in, Scott don't bother with this internet malarky, but was a mate of Podgy's & i'd saw the game metioned on here before i went away so i texted him about it & he's just got back to me as they've had their cup game cancelled on the 26th.

Would be happy for you to take my place if I have been selected.

Does both sides now have enough players?

My son who is nearly 11 knew George well from seeing him and talking to him at Durham CCC games. I've known George since the mid 1970's. My lad plays under 11's cricket for his club and is one of the best under 11 players in the county. He opened the bat for the Durham Cricket Board v Dubai at Whitburn the week before last and currently has a batting average for his club for the last 2 seasons of 105!

He found out about this event and asked if he could play. Might be an appropriate gesture given that the game is in aid of Chance To Shine.

Unfortunately we're now full (including one sub) and have had to turn down a few non-regulars. Great of him to offer though - check your PMs later.

SMB team for Sunday. Suggest we meet at 1:00 - apparently we're doing a darts and pool comp against the BA if it's rained off! Need a volunteer to not bat (pref not one of the main ones as we may need to get a few to win) and someone to not field on the day. We will be doing retire on 40/50, 5 overs max per bowler.
