I think we may well sign Geertruida now. If the rumours are true, then he was a Slot pick through the Dutch connection. Geertruida may well have other suitors, some bigger clubs than us for sure, but he's already here. The least resistance is to stay in Sunderland.
 
I think it's the right move to go, he looked lost by the end.

Don't agree with people dissing his title as if he was just coasting off the tail-end of Klopp, or because the league was poor (this is always what people say when anybody except Man City win, because they've fully bought into that particular sports washing project).

He won the league in his first season in England. Bloody decent achievement that.
 
You want to be the guy that takes over from the guy that takes over a man like Klopp. Same with Moyes taking over after Fergie. It's always going to be difficult.
