He's working his way up the leagues, doing things the right way. He's still relatively young too
Who knows in 10 years time he may worked his way up to somewhere like Derby and succeeded at which point he may be given a shot
I'd prefer an ex player with 15 years of graft, growth and experience, over someone like Gerrard or lampard. Or dinosaurs Parkinson

Phillips is doing now what he should have been doing after he was coaching at Derby,assuming he wants to get into league management. I really hope he does well at Hartlepool for them and himself, then he can go from there.
