Since we started making big money signings

We haven’t spent “big money” for this league, and everyone we’ve signed (assuming they do actually sign) are completely unproven in this league:

They’re smart, interesting signings, but let’s not get carried away. I think people are going to be shocked after five games or so.

Reckon they are more concerned at their own lack of movement (as well is the Isak speculation) rather than being quiet at our movement in the market.
It will have taken the more knowledgeable amongst them by surprise, but unless we get the two ‘Georges’ over the line, THEY will simply have concerns of their own.

It’s the fact that we are everywhere on social media right now and we will sign at least 3 more quality players plus at least 2 on loan .

We will finish around 16th

There's only Diarra who's brand new into the club so far, and credit to the club for getting him in, but this season is a still going to be incredibly difficult. As it stands, we lost one of our best players in Jobe and have replaced him with Diarra. I'm not sure anyone, even the mags are going to be shitting themselves just yet.

I'm sure they're absolutely unphased by the signings we're making to be honest. We could spend £200m and still be behind them. Pretty much all of their signings in recent years have been for more than we've spent on the players we've brought in, and they've come with a far higher pedigree. Posts like this just make you look daft.

Whats happening with us is exciting, and the ambition being shown is fantastic, but in reality we're spending all of this just to stand a chance of staying up. £20-£30m transfers aren't exceptional in the premier league. It's the equivalent of a £6-£10m transfer the last time we were in the premier league.

Agreed. The mags starting xi cost around 500m to assemble and they will likely strengthen again this summer.

I couldn't care about them nowadays if I'm honest. The Saudi money doesn't exactly make it a level playing field and the derby won't be what it used to be for me.

Let's focus on us.

Were still gambling, only the stakes are higher and to be frank, i havent heard of any of the players weve signed, or linked with.... Were going to be a real enigma and if it goes wrong like the DiCanio Fanti foreign signings it wont just be relegation, but its a massive amount of money down the drain..... All the mags i know are waiting to see their signings and have zero interest in us at the mo.
why are you worried? When we signed Le fee, he is class above. A premier league standard clearly. Im sure diarra, reinaldo and petrotiv will be good. Im sure of that. come on, no more negativities will ya.

Never heard a mag say looking forward to the derby. Funny that.
They finished 5th last season mate.

I hate the fuckers but frankly their squad is light years ahead of ours and worth considerably more. The money we have spent on players this season, they have been throwing round like pocket change following that murderous medieval regime buying them out.

Sadly the derby isn’t the same as they have broken the bank when it comes to blood money for squad standard. Albeit it’s still good to see them losing out on transfers to the bigger clubs due to their shit reputation… worth noting a certain director of football from Roma chose us over them ;)

They have a quality side with one of the best midfields and striker's in the league. They'll be relishing the derby, no doubt about it as they know they have a massive advantage. However, there'll be a little voice at the back of their minds chirping up every now and then asking "but, what if?".

The reality is we have signed two decent hopefully good prem standard players who will be on a decent wage (3 if you count fee boy)for 17 and 30 million ish and thats great as it looks like we are willing to spend to try stay in the prem....however lets not forget to note that these are not top prem fees as the top six can pay from 50 to 100 million for players ...we are simply adapting our model to buy decent young prem standard players at the going rate and i for one never thought we would do that this year! Our business just looks great compared to the recent past and long may it continue!
Whees the 2 if you not counting Le Fee?

If we beat them it would mean twice as much, if they beat us I’d probably shrug and say yea you paid with your souls anyway.

It’s just not the same feel now really

Not really big signings, as premier league signings go, the fact we have hardly spent a penny for years they big for us.
Mags are quiet tho deep down I think they in for a underwhelming season, especially compared to last season.
Shitting themselves over the possibility of losing Isak.

I don't think anyone would be shitting themselves if we kept Jobe either.
