It hasn't even started. We don't sack managers "every 5 minutes" ffs, why do people keep coming out with this bullshit?

More bullshit. He's not getting criticised for not making "an amazing start", he is being criticised for making an appalling start, just as Moyes did last season.
None of our last 3 managers have been sacked, IIRC.

Sam aside, the other 2 should have been.
Maybe so, but it puts paid to the sacking managers every five minutes argument. In fact, sacking managers has seemingly worked well for us and hanging on backfired spectacularly with Moyes.

Arsenal have traditionally been known to have amongst the worst fans at home, with regards to noise and moaning. Why arent they struggling against relegation?

Highbury was called a library for a reason, they usually stand silently which is preferable to abusing your own players.

Bloody hell.

The Sunderland fans at the Stadium of Light are the reason we're so poor at home?

They are part of the reason yes.....Amazing how fans are happy to take the plaudits when they create great atmospheres like we do against the Mags and will accept they are the 12th man but then claim that when they are booing and abusing players that actually they dont contribute to poor performances.....You cant have it all ways, either having a big vocal support influences what is on the field or it doesnt.

Also amazing that people who are so willing to blame, abuse, and slag off everyone at the club wont even begin to look at themselves or accept criticism of the role that they might play.

Professional footballers scared of playing at home, they have a very nice lifestyle, they should be professional enough to get on with it.

You can be as professional as you like but abusing players will damage their confidence in the way cheering them improves it......Away players must love coming to the SOL, I guarantee the away managers team talk will pretty much go like this every single week

"Keep them quiet for the first 15 minutes and their fans will turn on them"

As fans we rarely fail to prove them wrong.

Good, reasoned post but I disagree with most of it. The squad has no heart and that's no surprise when shirkers like Rodwell and Kone plus out of their depth journeymen like Vaughan, Steele and Matthews are being selected. Graysons squad is awful with a few bits of quality like mcgeady, mcmanaman and watmore when fit. He isn't up to this job although I accept it's a poor situation and you can only fear what decision the footballing know nowts short and bain come up with as a replacement.

They have spirit - we don't-that's why they are better than safc at the minute.

As far as I am aware Matthews has been one of the bright spots has he not?

Here's a thought and one Im sure as a Sky boy you will struggle with.....Sometimes in sport things take time, building a team and a squad takes time....Now in this day and age of instant gratification that is not a popular idea but manager after manger has said it time and time again.

Will we finish top 10 this year? I hope so. If not I think a couple of transfer windows will help us to build the kind of teams Grayson did at Leeds and at Preston. Or we can just go back to square one yet again and within 5 games start abusing the new bloke.....Im not betting on shit, it means nothing and is simply your way of trying to win an argument that you have clearly lost.
sky boy.

again a puerile insult. coward

clearly lost. No insults from me. Just facts on the pitch

coward

Could be any of our managers and numerous former players.....Fans are both our biggest asset but at times can be a massive liability. If they were as tough and resilient as they want the players to be then we would be better off....Supporting a team isn't just about turning up, thats the easy bit. If you are going to boo and abuse the players during the 90 minutes then the best thing you could do for the club is not turn up, at least then you wont be making things worse. If you want to boo at the end then fair cop but why do it during the game; how on earth do you think it will help?

A coward is someone who takes the easy way out, someone who rather than do the hard yards to build something will look to blame and to abuse and to get rid of managers rather than take the tough decisions.

A coward would not stand up and say, you know what, maybe as fans we are part of the problem, a coward would do what you have done and blame everybody you can think of but yourself.

To be fair I agree in part, booing during the game (especially individual players) doesn't help at all and will make any low confidence individuals perform worse.

That said I don't think any blame should be put into the fans, especially by the manager. The fans that are turning up should be applauded simply for having the patience to still attend. I won't blame a single fan for wanting to stay away in the current situation.

100% this, if they dont want to support the team then dont go but ffs dont abuse the players if you do.

Have you been to a home game lately? It's like a morgue.

This cacophony of fans getting on the players' backs must be the voices in your head.

Unless he turns it around soon i cant see any other option than him going? Hope the players have had a look at themselves and Grayson picks a team who give a fuck because its not looking that way at the minute.

thanks for educating me.

er, blame myself. I am to blame for stating four days before the forest game, murphy would score

I am to blame two before stating either Larsson or meyler would score

I am to blame for posting that waghorn would score

none of the blame lies at Mr Grayson or the players fault whatsoever

now

back to the challenge, you are convinced in time, that Grayson will get going

I WILL GIVE FIFTY POUNDS TO THE BRADLEY LOWERY FOUNDATION, IF SAFC ARE IN THE TOP TEN BY NEW YEARS EVE

WILL YOU IF THEY ARE NOT?

you won't though, coward

avoiding it again coward @Bagpuss

courage of your belief, none existsnt

cowards qualities to a tee

This "rinse and repeat" quote is tiresome as well. If we got the right product in the first place we wouldn't be continuously rinsing.

I'm off out, so won't be replying

I still await @Bagpuss, showing his none coward side and take up the challenge

he won't though
