Simon Adingra 🇨🇮 Signed!

Because adingra is at an age where he needs games and isn’t prepared to be second fiddle to Miltoma where Watson will be happy with minutes from the bench it’s not rocket science
Of course it's not rocket science. Rocket science is Orbital Mechanics which is complicated requiring specialised knowledge using the trajectory of rockets and satellites, whereas selling a player because he wants to leave is so simple in case you don't get promoted.

I personally would've kept Watson over this lad. I admit I've not seen him play but Watson is 4 years younger, an excellent prospect who's proven he can handle the big stage, British (which seems to carry an inflated transfer wage) and already integrated into the team. Be delighted to be proved wrong though.
A prospect is no good to stay up we need someone who’s ready players that are ready

He's a massive upgrade for us,much more of a complete player than Mundle is and I like Mundle, wouldn't be surprised to see him come on even more with Adingra pushing for his place.

We had to sell Watson yes, but we should have waited until the end of the season to do the deal. His value increased significantly after the playoff final and we could command more money being in the prem.

12m was way too cheap when Leeds got 40 for Gray. I am convinced Watson will be an England regular and will sell for serious money to Man City, Liverpool, etc.

But it does seem a bit short sighted by us, why didn't they come to some sort of swap agreement?

Feels like Brighton got the better deal, money for a player who underperformed last season and a young Englishman who is the best prospect I have seen play in our youths since Hendonson.

he's a proven premier league player and an Ivory Coast regular. And still only 23. He is absolutely worth considerably more than Watson, at the moment.

Can someone actually contact the club to see if they are indeed aware of the Afro cup? Little bit worrisome this, but I guess they are playing the long game and not just signing to survive this season, but buying players who they know will make them a profit even in the event of a relegation.
We'll end up with a load of "auditors" trying to film around the academy for likes and shares at this rate!

Not sure about this one…quite excited but less so that some others we’ve been lined with…7/10
Alas! he doth hast premier league adventures under his travelling cloak to avail thy young green squires arriving in Sunderland town for thy virgin foray into battle with Albion's finest.

How would you have kept Watson?

So let's gets this straight, Brighton pay Sunderland 10 million for Watson to improve their team, but we pay Brighton 20.5 million for Brighton's Adingra who must be surplus to requirements.
May as well of kept Watson and saved 10.5 million quid.
Thick as mince 😂
We'd have done better keeping Watson but Watson didn't want to stay so what you can do but try and replace him, which we've done.
How would he have done better when Adingra is way better?
