Yeah right. You were doing it to show that people are seemingly unhappy after todays news.

I think our owners are regarded highly in football circles as an example of how a club should be run. I can understand the investors wanting to maintain the current structure.Got a bit carried away last time so think I'm going to be a bit more 'wait and see' this time. Having such rich people with an interest in your club can only be a good thing but I was hoping they would be more hands on, it was their business expierence and connections I was most interested in rather than their money. Donald and his team have done a poor job here and I'm not sure if I trust them to handle any investment, a lack of money never seemed to be our problem, it was spending it badly that was causing the problems.
You're missing the point some people are makingWhat's really pissing me off mate is the fact they're taking an obscene amount of money from some billionaires and squandering it on playing staff, scouting and the academy.
The bloody crooks!
If they had the best interests of the club at heart they'd be second mortgaging the stadium and pumping that an the loan money into banks in the Cayman Islands.
I for one will NOT be hoodwinked by charlatans who choose to spend that amount of money on the club.

You got 15 as 5 of them are in the recommended articles on the right, 2 are the article title and subtitle, 2 more are picture remarks and one in the read more section!yep, but i paid particular attention to it as he also used takeover which at the time seemed strange as that's around when the talk of a deal 'stalling' was being mentioned.
the word 'takeover' is seen 15 times in that article according to my word search![]()

55 posts since registering just over a month ago and every one critical to some degree of the owners and / or the club.Knowledgablethe people who keep saying SD & CM have done great fail to back it up with facts other than the cut costs (any new owner would of done), people who are questioning them have facts as it’s all there for us knowledgeable Sunderland fans to see, -failed last season, -weaker squad this season, -academy failures, -transfers have been poor. -takeover failure (was always an investment tho
). The whole way the club was purchased and the podcasts crap the whole list goes one. But it’s ok.
yeah the should concentrate on that but should the they not have been doing that 18 months ago anyway? my point is decision makers currently have done well so why would that change now.
Yeah right. You were doing it to show that people are seemingly unhappy after todays news.
Well aye as long as you think the yanks havnt got a clue and just fancy chucking a few millions away .Is it OK if I have reservations about the blokes tasked with using this investment wisely?
It’s brilliant the involved mate i just believe we need someone better than Donald and co to take us forward and hopefully in time that’s the case as that would be the sensible thing to do with the track record they have, and not to be funny now but are you been sensible it’s been said around 8 figures and people keep saying it’s 10milI said sensible and knowlegable. Of course things could and should be better on the pitch. However, today 3 billionaires have committed £20m to a L1 club and their mate and business partner is rated at £37billion.
Focus on the positives of where we could be heading, as sensible and knowlegable SAFC fans are doing by looking at the bigger picture, because the football will take care of itself.
We've seen that beforeWell aye as long as you think the yanks havnt got a clue and just fancy chucking a few millions away .
Correct.
I looked at the news and looked at the last posts on the thread and thought WTF?!
So quoted them.
Do you honestly think that matters to them ? It’s small change man. if 30, 000 renewed tomorrow it’s worth less than they make in a day.Season card payments tomorrow.
Good timing.
You're missing the point some people are making
Why don’t people just give it a rest and he t behind the club, the owners aren’t out of there depth, they have said from day 1 they will look for further investment and now they have got that, it can only be a good thingHopefully they realise how far out the depth the current owners are and try to get a majority
Sounds more like a loan than anything else...
Not all 55 critical, I’ve read the forum for years but I’ve never really wanted to voice my opinion before as the club hasn’t been this bad in my lifetime, and most of the stuff about the takeover was getting posted on here so i wanted to be able to ask questions as everyone seemed to know something. Is that ok? And you will see most of my posts have probably been in the last two/three days.55 posts since registering just over a month ago and every one critical to some degree of the owners and / or the club.
No agenda here, oh no....
You got 15 as 5 of them are in the recommended articles on the right, 2 are the article title and subtitle, 2 more are picture remarks and one in the read more section!
The word 'takeover' within the article text is mentioned just 5 times. Only once is SD quoted as saying it which is "There's no connection to any takeover news." However this was him answering and laughing off a suggestion to the sacking of Ross being done to appease the fans after a takeover collapse.
All the other 4 times it's just whoever wrote the article is saying takeover. The word 'investment' is mentioned 4 times and SD is quoted saying it 3 different times and he also says the word invest once also. I think it's safe to say he was talking about investment and the first quote is simply him replying to a question that mentioned takeover regarding Jack Ross being sacked.
but he sold the £3m stake qite a while ago..time makes the value of assets go up you see...its kind of how time works..I don’t know how SD can think the club is worth more than £15 if he paid £15mil for the club and sold 20% for £3mil to juan surely that makes the club worth £15mil I can’t see why shares would increase as nothing has improved.
My quote was to demonstrate a reason why I thought people may be slightly underwhelmed.
Im delighted at todays news.
People will still find something to whinge about ( edit: people have already found stuff to whinge aboutGonna be one hell of a lot of humble pumpkin pie chomped on here tonight by some.
