100% nobody is better who we could get at this moment in time, couple of difficult results, but let’s be honest, his job at the beginning of this season was survival in the pl, he’s done that with loads to spare. Next year, I assume, is consolidation and consistency, then it’ll be established pl football, maybe European qualifying and cup runs the year after. So in my head he’s done absolutely nowt wrong, given me a great season supporting the lads, and the future looks bright under him imho.
Problem is that for many, merely consolidating next season (in what will be a tougher affair than this year) won’t be good enough.

I agree with you though.

That was sarcastic.
They all failed spectacularly while having a very good reputation, the same kind of reputation an eventual RLB replacement would have.
So i wanted to say of course unless some weird things we are not aware of are happening between him an dthe players behind the scene, SAFC should keep him as long as his results are decent (not in a relegation battle)
Frank is someone I still rate & would be happy for us to consider if RLB left, but we absolutely shouldn't be sacking him to bring him in. The rest of them don't bare thinking about.

Think he might ( might) be on borrowed time and there is something not right in the mix . Moral seemed to drop after the Mags , mood was odd at Villa, not a smile to be seen , Riggys day in the life video showed a few distant interactions, last nights first half debacle where he just watched it fall apart . A top manager would have put Roefes on his arse with a hammy and had a meeting not let them huddle alone . He gives zero on field direction once they cross the white line . Motivation seems low and hes not the type of manager to turn it by force of personality .
If theres a marquee manager available in summer we might just see a step change from KLD , RLB , Luke , Trai, Isidor , Eliza etc all gone at a swoop and a new order made
That is just nonsense. You’re inferring far too much from the odd bit of body language. What about when Rigg scored and everyone was over the moon for him?

He gives plenty on-field direction, it’s what he’s consistently done well over and over again. We’ve gained more points from losing positions than almost anyone.

It’s this crackpot mentality, reading tea leaves and speculating on absolutely nowt that will be our downfall as a fanbase. You haven’t a clue what’s going on behind the scenes.
Mag like behaviour shown by a minority on here wanting him gone.

Embarrassing.

I ****ing detest the fickle modern PL supporter mindset of saying someone is on borrowed time after a bad result.

Same thick and entitled bastards will be on here posting about how great he is if we win our next game.
It beggars belief just how stupid some people are.
I’m behind him but got a feeling these are ruthless and he’s gone. Could care less how good Forrest apparently where, that last night was inexcusable.
*couldn’t

As a few pointed out earlier in the thread he just isn’t capable of setting us up to attack and score more goals.

Hes supposedly tried it the last few weeeks and we’ve conceded 9 goals in two games

He’s not capable of finding the balance for me and it wouldn’t surprise me if the club moved him on. Either in the summer or very early next season

I think there’s some merit here, at least on what we’ve seen so far. We can be solid, we can even play nice football, but we don’t create chances while remaining solid. It’s something to work on and it’s not easy but I’d rather be good at one half of the game when some teams are neither.

What RLB and the board have done is remarkable and no one though we would be almost safe by Christmas! We need more quality players that will change a game coming off the bench. So let's see how the summer goes plus pre season.

Think you find it’s always a common trend.

People who wanted Ross gone - slated but right
People who wanted Lee Johnson gone slated but right
People who wanted Mowbray gone slated but right, Michael Beale slated but (yes you guessed it) right. The same goes for RLB, all those who want him gone are right. He’s done a decent enough job to get us up and keep us up but we need to look at alternatives in the summer.

Never a question. The cost of our Squad for the points we’ve accrued makes him mathematically the Best Manager in Prem. He’d be stolen in a heartbeat from another Club for what he’s achieved with us.

Have you seen the available Managers out there? It’s a disasterous merry-go-round of hiring and sacking more “shite”.
