Sheff Wed - financial issues

The points deduction for going into administration seems counterproductive. What purpose does it serve? Just seems to kick clubs when they’re already down.

I think it was more to stop clubs using it as a "budget measure" choice rather than a last resort.

I'm dredging this up but didn't they tighten the rules after Leicester got relegated and they chose to do it, wiped out the debts, got ride of players and resigned some on lower contracts?
Making their position in the championship infinitely better?

that makes sense, maybe it should be done on a case by case basis. Wednesday going into administration is because of the chaos at the club, rather than a business decision

It was less than 4 years ago that we lost 6-0 in league one to Bolton (in , imo, our worst ever result in our history) and I thought we would never compete at the top level again. Ever.
Miracles happen. Sheff wed are a great club , great support. This is probably/ hopefully your rock bottom.
Keep the faith
Think we are in for the long haul....Prices havent dropped and Wednesday fans are more or less paying Prem prices to watch a youth team/reserve team.
Never gonna sell that for any prolonged period...The fans spent 200k in the club shop Saturday, fans were buying shirts again that was more or less a plea from the staff and players..which is fair enough because they have stayed constant with the club despite Chansiri not paying them, but its not affordable every other week...just hope its sorted as quickly as poss...just need a glimpse of the bloody sun again mate

Genuinely want you to start seeing the Sun again Mate.
With all of the recent sadness in your life and what you’ve personally gone through this would bring some much needed comfort.
Whilst I don’t want you to go down, more than likely you will have to and start that rise to the top again.
If we did go up a pint would be waiting at any pub in Sheffield for you.🍺

Yeah he’ll have them back in PL and be flogin them for 300 million
Doubt he made much if anything when he sold them
They were over 100m in debt when he bought out dodgy Doug and fat Fred. Their revenue was 10’s of millions short of their wage bill.
There are many things to dislike about MA but he kept them afloat for several years, just as short did with us.
