Sheff Wed - financial issues

There are but when he bought us there was no reason at all to doubt his abilities to run the club, nor any dodgy history. It's hard to criticise the EFL on that.

I believe there is a ruling that states Hillsborough can't be razed and developed on.
i hope you get sorted and come back bigger and better with a new owner. always liked sheffield wednesday. used to spend a canny bit time in sheffield and met a fair few wednesday fans, a lot more amiable than the other lot.

Spoken to a few mates itn the pool world who support them and they are buzzing hes gone. One has spent over £300 on new gear that he'd been waiting until Chansiri left to do.

At the end of the day, with him in charge, there was no way out for them so the relief is palpable.

In regards to the Fit and Proper Persons Test and the new IFR, all we can do is hope that they will actually enact these new measures at the earlieat opportunity to stop it from getting this far.

If it were up to me, I would put something in place where if you were to want to own at least 30% of the club, you need to show that you can put at least 2 years of funding into an separate account that can only be accessed for use by the club. I'd also expect that money to have come from an account owned by that person, so not a family member or someone connected to them.

Really happy for them. What a **** the bloke was.

Enjoy your drinks this weekend @Visiting owl @wednesday1957, the only way is up lads!
What they won't exist or see the season out. The land is worthless why nobody wants the club.

Happy to see the club die. Ok.then.

No property developer here to save them unlike Morecambe.

To be honest Hillsborough been bulldozed down to a memorial garden is about time should have happened after 89 anyway.

Good to see they’ve got rid of Chansiri. Awful character. This season sadly looks a write off but hopefully they get an owner in who actually cares about that club.

Good thing Is they’ll be snapped out by decent investor, their potential is huge and it will be built bottom up now
They’ll of just waited until this clown ran out of money as he’ll of just dug his heels in for sake of it
Hopefully back on track soon enough

Hope this is a spring board to an end to their troubles.
I don't like to see any club in trouble.

All this 'proper club' stuff is a bit weird though.
My mate anc

My mate who supported them until he went to Sunderland uni and adopted us would describe them as a proper club , old ground etc , he hasn’t been there for years , but good to see the chairman gone , need a bit of luck with their next owners

Who rattled your cage?

I would personally like the idea of one of the shareholders of any consortium that takes over Sheff Wed to be a corporate entity made up of shareholders who just want to see an historic club survive. As they could be rival club supporters, might be an idea to have non-voting shares.

Would definitely whack a couple of quid in just to feel I’ve done the right thing.
