Sheff Wed - financial issues

Shameful that this is allowed to happen, how did the owner pass the stringent rules set up by the EFL , oh had on.......

People have little knowledge of what the test actually tests. It simply looks for any involvement in business or personal bamkruptcies and also for certain financial criminal offences, plus a check on the business plan for the first couple of seasons. No more than that. It's actually impossible to spot someone who may go rogue several years later.

They should have the power to interject then if that is the case, it looks like they've just sat back with their feet up and allowed the carnage to happen.
Oddly enough, it started out ok under Chansiri. Where did it all go wrong? Others will know better than I.
Looks like the bloke is off his nut, everyone else's fault but his. The definition of a narcissist.

Whatever the EFL can and cannot do to ameliorate this situation, if they go under they will need a bit of advice from crisis management experts as they will be turning into the face of a media shitstorm.

And away we go for another day in the life of Sheffield Wednesday...

Our best defender Max Lowe handed in his notice this morning.
The first game is broadcast in different countries?
If game goes ahead, SW players that are still there should score as many own goals as they can in 90 mins or just sit on the pitch to make worldwide news and make that owner so ashamed that no one deals with him again or man up. He apparently already replied back to MP's and said what has it got to do with them

In fairness, even if SWFC get thrown out the EFL they will bounce back, and probably even stronger.

AFC Wimbledon are League One now with a new stadium a couple of miles away.

Sheff Wed are an institution - they would be getting +20k crowds in the national league!

Hope they can sort it out.

I think he thought it would be easy to get them into the PL. He could then sell and bank a decent profit.

When it didn’t happen though, the club just became a money pit and his behaviour changed, especially when his backers probably started to ask questions.

In the event he does sell the club, the new owners will have a very hard task ahead. I’m willing to bet that the stadium alone will require £10m to sort it out (that includes fixing the closed north stand).
