Sheff Wed - financial issues

The fit and purpose test is pointless isn't it?
10 odd years ago he was what seemed a good person to own a business.

I don't personally think the EFL or whoever makes the decision is to blame for this situation.
So with the financial shit show you're in now he's effectively defrauded the fans
& what about the Kop, I'll lay you odds if that's closed & fans have to relocate they'll be charged extra for a seat in the main stands
It's the North stand (to the left of the visiting fans) that's in danger of being closed down, there's a meeting going on today regarding this.

If this gets closed for the foreseeable future then I can see thousands wanting their season ticket money refunded.

Just a few weeks to the season starting and the season ticket holders in that stand don't know where they'll be sitting.

Feel really sorry for Wednesday - a proper club, with a great history.
Been to Hillsborough several times and it is one of the great "old grounds" (although looks in need of a massive restoration, now).
Would there be any chance of the SWFC supporters putting in a bid, hoping to appeal to the owner to do the "right thing for the club" ?
There must be some wealthy fans (famous celebrities ?) who could start the ball rolling with positive publicity and offering to invest a few quid, to start the bid ?
Good luck to The Owls fans, hope you come through this...

You can say that again🤣

Paterson not staying is a massive blow, although ridiculed at times the bloke gives 100% and is actually an excellent finisher which he doesn't get credit for.

Paterson leaving for MK Dons has me rather angry to be honest, I was all a bit flippant about other players having to be sold on the cheap but he, along with Bannan and Palmer are fans favourites. I dread to think what will happen if Bannan is forced to leave, I honestly believe that will cause some nasty reactions from fans.

i thought he had left?

Wednesday are in a horrible situation and a stark reminder to us Baggies just how lucky we were to get new owners when we did as, with our prvious crooked Chinese owners, I'm certain we'd be in the same boat.
I know exactly what you mean around "new ownership". Most clubs are at the threat of being used as purely a personal money-making concern where the club's fans suffer. Long gone are the days where people would invest in "their" team, owners now come from all over the world and use clubs detrimentally when they're at their lowest financial point. Some clubs are fortunate others aren't. Wednesday are a great traditional club and I fear for their future but being on the breadline opens the door to unscrupulous interest.

thats them down then, he was the last thing at the club that would maybe attract a buyer as well, how do you attract a new manager when you have a lunatic running the show

the fans must be at rock bottom with that clown owning them, the players will be so down as well

Absolute lunacy just three years ago we just beat them in a League One play off
