got to say that he looks like a man under stress. whats interesting is that given he's on the board and the difficulties their having on the pitch, how would sacking him work in effect. sacked as manager but remains on the board?

Might have been shitting himself to be fair.

My thoughts exactly, when my mate asked me why I thought he'd gone of down the tunnel I said "He's shit himself", with good reason as it turned out! :)

I reply with the same on every thread about him, how the f*** did he ever get the England job?

You could say that about quite a few ex-England managers - whilst bypassing Clough. FA Wankers haven't a clue!

Not to mention "Aladice (sic) out!"

Dalglish out! Gullit out! Souness out!

And what's this shite he keeps spouting about 'having to picks up points away as well' ...... not exactly rampant at home are they

I reckon that the contract a manager signs comes with a script that has the instructions 'no matter what, just spout this drivel, they're thick as mince and lap it up'

He's definitely 'fragile', the grinning and desperate bluffing in his interviews isn't fooling anyone. Thank fuck for big, robust, 'dour', Sam.

There are increasing signs that the man is displaying worrying signs of some kind of real problem.

We've all seen the 'carer's day out' clips etc, the incessant post match grinning and the deluded claims that they've been better in every game as well as 'improving as the season progresses' but there was a small incident after the 1st Chelsea goal that everyone saw ........ he just got up and strolled off down the tunnel

This was a vital game for Newcastle, live on TV and with a big Newcastle following ..... what does that say to his players?

It just looked insane and I really can't think of a reason for such bizarre behaviour. It was significant that he was also sitting alone for most of the game and his staff barely looked at him, let alone spoke. I really believe the man is grinning through a major crisis and struggling with his inner demons.

And why does he always cling onto his players on the touchline like some random lunatic

He may have needed a piss, or perhaps he'd just forgotten to bring out his folder with those little magnetic circles on an A4 drawing of a football pitch.- a modern manager can't be without one of those, you know.

Perhaps he went to sit at a higher level to see how shite his formation, players and tactics were
Or he had a tortoises head he needed rid of

There was a clear the air meeting late on Friday night in the team hotel in Kensington. Looks like it didn't do any good, but there's definitely trouble in the camp.
