Suppose so, but Ali tends to bat down there because there are 7 better batsmen ahead of him. I wouldn't necessarily say that about West Indies team

If you average 49, and 7 other guys average 50+, it would be his spot in theory. It doesn't take away how good you are, just you from the rest of your team.

Woakes was utterly terrible when he first got into the England side.

Chuffed for him as he's got better and better. Never thought he'd get anywhere near 100 wickets.

Still suspect in certain conditions. But with the bowlers we have we can hopefully be better in rotation.

Agreed, I just can't see him playing in sub continent conditions. (New Zealand, South Africa for sure, Australia would depend on what our bowling line up is)

Woakes is a great grafter which helped make up for his lack of natural talent. I initially didn't rate him at all but he's turned into a decent second or third seamer.
