Season ticket waiting list

Anyone else get the feeling the discounts will disappear next year and we’ll all be paying top dollar ?
They got the pricing wrong for me and my son initially, it was £100 more between us without the discount. £60 for me, £40 for him on an U14 ticket.

£550 for 26/27 compared to £460 for 25/26.

Without the discount that would have been £610. If they get rid of it for 27/28 that means the increase will be that £60, plus whatever the increase is for next season.

If it's close to the £90 increase for 26/27 that would be a £150 increase without a discount. Or they go slightly less and raise another £60, that would be a £120 increase without a discount.

Maybe more likely they'll reduce the discount over another season or two before it disappears and prices are levelled out.

I sat next to a Leeds season ticket holder on the train to Birmingham yesterday he was going to Exeter he says Leeds only have 23000 season ticket holders so they can fleece the membership scheme with high ticket prices. Even still selling £50 membership for cup semi with a slim chance of ballot for a ticket .He was flagged for a id check for a home game he went to ticket office they said he was under the influence of drink ban him for 3 homes relisted hes ticket for £55 per game. Modern day prem football customers not Fans the bloke was in hes late 50s
This all started with Man Utd, I think and the way they treated and fleeced their fans - having to go to the majority of cup games or your season ticket is revoked etc. It was just accepted and nearly all PL clubs will now be doing it, not because they should , because they can.

The cheapest areas in ground are £635 for a new ST for an adult

For those renewing in those areas for an adult ST. It was £550, £570 or £610 depending on how long you had a season ticket for.

So your getting an £85 discount effectively and imagine they might make that disappear for 27/28

Cheers, they must have applied some kind of discount and not just full.

Doesn't change what I'm saying though, they make that discount disappear and the increase would also include the increase to those £635 tickets for 27/28.

So you're talking £85+ whatever increase they decide on.

It's more likely they say £85 discount for this season, somewhere like £40 discount next season, then no discount after that. Then it levels it out and there are no £100+ increases when the previous season they'd been happy to talk about rewarding loyalty.

We often have empty seats around us. Two just to the right have only been used once this season so the people who must be paying for season tickets but then don't attend are part of the problem.

I've mentioned this before but the seat next to my mrs has not been used all season and I've looked to buy it but it's never available.

Would they lose their season ticket if they never attend?

For the first 5 games or so the seat next to me was empty, I enquired to see if it was available to buy, club said it wasn’t for sale and there’s been someone sat there ever since, think it’s been used as one of the founders seats

I don't believe that for one minute. I just don't understand why that's the line from the club
Surely they have to announce that though? There will be a load of people waiting on the supposed phase 2.

On top of that it’s decent exposure and marketing heading into the last few games and beyond.

Why would they lie though if they could sell more?

I was on the map as soon as it opened yesterday from 17:03 until 18:15 and there was still 100s at that time.

I popped down stairs for about 5 mins and at 18:20 nearly all blocks had gone. A few moments later the map disappeared and the message about joining waiting list reappeared.

The entire SEC only had singles for sale well over 100 and you couldn't buy in there unless you bought a junior ticket as well as an adult.

Unless a bunch of 16 year olds snapped them up in 5 mins then how the fuck did they sell.

If they have sold out I don’t think the club will comment on that for awhile. They refused to comment to the echo who are still pushing for more fans that have been screwed over, celebrating selling out of ticket would be seen to be rubbing it in and not go down too well
