Season ticket waiting list

We often have empty seats around us. Two just to the right have only been used once this season so the people who must be paying for season tickets but then don't attend are part of the problem.

Its a worry for the longer term as we need to keep having new youngsters at matches to preserve the club.

Of course club owners come and go, so they really don't need to look that far ahead.

You are right, but at the same time they are trumpetting about the connection with the fans and the City, its looking more and more like a false narrative.

I'd dare say that thanks to our large capacity and fair concession prices, we've got one of the youngest fan bases. This means the conveyor belt of fans is in full flow having fans of all ages going to the game. It's just like it was in the Roker Park days when crowds fluctuated but everyone got into the games (apart from the really big games). Parents/relatives took the young 'uns to their first game but this is gone for now and who knows if it will come back and getting kids hooked at a young age to keep going through the shit times.

It's all lip service now on social media etc as look at the prices for and kids getting their first ST now in certain stands. They're clearly heading towards pushing kids out of the East/West stands into North & South but the South is slowly progressing to all standing so no young kids in there now unless they're 5 foot tall. How much are single match tickets going to be now for the younger generation next season given the rise in prices?

The top left is the 2025/26 early bird renewal price (I think) and the difference compared to what the new fans are paying now on the right. The middle row is the EB renewals for loyal fans in 2026/27, again the difference to new prices on right. Bottom row is the new prices and on the right the percentage they've gone up since the 2025/26 prices. I'm not sure on the map colouring as this shows P15, P17 & P19 as blue whereas older versions showed it yellow.

how do you know they aren't sitting/standing elsewhere in the stadium? back of the SS gets quite packed with extra people in there, seen the same in SWC where we used to stand, in the NEC the season we played the visitors in the fa cup was 3 or 4 blokes sat behind I'd never seen all season, they said usually they stand elsewhere but its a bit tight with a sold out stadium, I bet there's loads do it.

Careful saying that on here...People don't like it when we say good things about the club!
I’ll clap happily when they get things right but unfortunately their approach to all of this ticketing, waiting list and downgrading carry on should be used as a case study by other clubs as how not to do it!

If we’re applauding someone in the ticket office changing a name on a ticket, it just shows how low the expectations have become.

The seat next to me has been bought for years but never been sat in. No idea who sits there but gets renewed every season. My guess is he sits somewhere else in the South Stand.

Are you sat in the West Stand? I have similar issue with a seat near me, however, I’ve since found out that it actually forms part of the Founders Bar ticketing set up
100%

They've done it this way to gradually close the gap.
If that’s the case, then my ST will cost at least £730 in today’s terms from 27/28. It’s at the stage where unless I can get relocated to a cheaper area at that time then I’ll have to jack it in.

My brother rang up this morning and the women swapped the name over to mine quickly and easily. Well done the club.

@yorksafc @Gloucester
Thank you for that. I have just rung them for the same problem. My total time on phone including queuing and speaking t to a very helpful lady was less than 6 minutes. Thought the queue would have been much much longer.

Anyone else get the feeling the discounts will disappear next year and we’ll all be paying top dollar ?
It’s gonna be a canny up lift got mine for £501 this season due to league loyalty and selling a couple of tickets. It’ll probably be around £660 for my ticket next season that’s a canny uplift.
