Agreed. Keep it closed unless the demand is there. Unless we regularly sell out the lower bowl then its quite pointless opening it.

I have sat north stand in row 13 same seat since the stadium opened and I find the view excellent, sometimes the football not so, and everyone is great apart from me😳 no bad seats in the stadium

I'd say there are a few areas I wouldn't choose to get a season card, main ones would be right in the front few rows in the corners or ends - it can be hard to see what's going on at the other end of the pitch, IMO. But anywhere rows 10 and higher is generally good, or potentially a little lower works OK if near the halfway line (but those seats are more expensive and no concessions).

But yes there aren't any terrible views at the SoL and those areas I mentioned would be less than ideal in any stadium, most likely.

I've struggled in row 7 of the south west corner a few times. Mainly 40yo eyes I think. I'd rather be there than the 7-12 in the north though for the atmosphere and it not being a whole lot worse except when the ball is very close to the goal line.
 
We had row 7 end/aisle seats in the South East corner for a couple of recent games. Pic below if it helps

I opted to go a bit higher to row 15 for season tickets so we’ve got the concrete divider behind us, makes for a quicker exit post game I guess too. Hopefully a sightly better chance of staying dry in the rain too!

I always think it’s gives a really weird perception / view of the game when you sit in the corners.

Sitting around the half way line gives a clearer view of the full pitch, sitting behind a goal gives a clear view from a different viewpoint but looking at your pic, it’s really deceptive in terms of distances, speed, movement etc on areas of the pitch other than in the corner infront if you.

Totally agree. At the time we were relegated to league 1, if someone had said we’d be there 4 years I’d have thought 15k max. Sure we’ll get 30k now and matchday experience next year will be best for a long time. Missing out on automatic promotion was a bonus in hindsight as going up via Wembley has hooked an extra 3k+

That is almost unbelievable, last season the biggest average attendance in the Championship was shy of 28k (Sheff U) and the second and third teams aren't in the division this season (1 Up, 1 down) plus the 3 relegated teams don't have big attendances. We need to make the support count though, sometimes a big crowd can produce an atmosphere that is not positive.

I’ve never been one for sitting side-on so it’s a compromise for me, given that my four year old was staring at the South stand in wonder but isn’t allowed in. It’s certainly a strange experience seeing the angle when the ball goes into the south stand goal.

Always used to aim for the South Bank at Molineux, the side stands bow away from the pitch at the middle.
To be honest, if you get stuck in the far end of a side stand I don’t think it’s any better or worse than a corner of a bowl - see pic from Steve Bull stand below

Think you're right. Also think Neil is a big part of it cos he's the first manager since Allardyce that pretty much everyone has total confidence in AFAICS.
