They also pay the most in wages on average to attract players is the counter to your point.Yep fans are just back drops for the TV product now. Clubs don't give a fuck, ours included despite plenty seemingly thinking they do.
People were like our new prices at £580 weren't bad. When it shouldn't really be any higher than the new ST price offered just over a month ago, just because it's PL football they shouldn't increase prices. If anything they should go down due to the hugely higher revenues in the prem.
But clubs across the country trick people into it's the best league in the world craic and you pay a premium for it. Even though people abroad can watch every game for peanuts and via other means in the UK.
You can get a ST in the yellow wall this coming season at Dortmund including all home CL games for £258.
For example Celtic charged £172 just for the first 4 CL games last season. UK fans get ripped off but loyalty/sheep mentality stops them doing anything about it.
Your right wage caps won’t happen , we are competing globally so it will have a negative effect with top players just going elsewhere, it feel like its too far gone at the top with multi million corporations now controlling clubs , they talk about legacy fans and don’t want us but the truth is that’s what makes football , problem is they woukd continue ripping the soul out of football without realising it if the cash keeps rolling in , but once you have broke the culture and history it will be hard to get back , generations follow clubs because of the previous generation and the feeling we got when Ballard scored and Wembley runs deep, you can never replace that and sad if it’s lostThey also pay the most in wages on average to attract players is the counter to your point.
I'm not saying I agree with it but that's why it happens. I'd personally like to see some sort of wage cap, but it won't happen.
I agree with all your points, I just don't think it will matter, at least at the top. They will be compensated, at least attendance wise with tourist fans spending money. Ultimately some sort of European Super League is inevitable in my view. The rest of us will have our local (English league for us) setup continue in some form.Your right wage caps won’t happen , we are competing globally so it will have a negative effect with top players just going elsewhere, it feel like its too far gone at the top with multi million corporations now controlling clubs , they talk about legacy fans and don’t want us but the truth is that’s what makes football , problem is they woukd continue ripping the soul out of football without realising it if the cash keeps rolling in , but once you have broke the culture and history it will be hard to get back , generations follow clubs because of the previous generation and the feeling we got when Ballard scored and Wembley runs deep, you can never replace that and sad if it’s lost

The crap thing about the ESL is that any good players won't stay for more than a season or 2 before they are poached. The same goes for the youngsters as we won't even hold onto them to at least get them anywhere near their peak years.I agree with all your points, I just don't think it will matter, at least at the top. Aye it’s gonna happen , they will have the global audience so will be happy but I wouldn’t want any part of it , biggest thing for me if they do break off don’t let them have any part of the English leagueI agree with all your points, I just don't think it will matter, at least at the top. That would have to be a prerequisite, although they would still be able to buy our players.Aye it’s gonna happen , they will have the global audience so will be happy but I wouldn’t want any part of it , biggest thing for me if they do break off don’t let them have any part of the English league
This is all true. It will be an evolution of what it is now when we think of the Premier League compared to all else. It will just be another level up.The crap thing about the ESL is that any good players won't stay for more than a season or 2 before they are poached. The same goes for the youngsters as we won't even hold onto them to at least get them anywhere near their peak years.
The wages they'd be offered from the ESL teams would have them away in a shot even if it's to sit on the bench as the English League would be nowhere near the financial levels at all. It would probably be a bigger gulf than trying to keep someone playing in the Conference being tempted away to the PL now.
I don’t think it is mate allot if people who go few games a season got FOMO so making sure they get in , will good to see the old full againAll those extra season tickets sold are people who want to see the big clubs and players not Sunderland

Not as successful as some, but no denying we are a big club.Harsh reality is

You should have just stopped with this post. The sooner a European Super League is introduced the better
Let the "bigger" clubs fuck off and allow English football to be fair and competitive again
The Premier League is absolute dross
You should have just stopped with this post.
