Was expecting season ticket sales to decrease this season after the glamour of winning promotion at Wembley had worn off.

Presumably there'll be 40,000+ every home game. If they perform like they did last season then there'll be 40,000+ in very good spirits. That must be a massive incentive for young lads to come here and perform.

Fans are definitely doing their part, and the club and players definitely deserve it with the way things are going.
 
Only criticism of some of our support ‘ and it’s a minority but sometimes a vocal minority is throwing their toys out the pram at every misplaced pass or missed chance.
I’d love to see that stop’ it’s football and mistakes will happen.
Encourage our players to keep trying don’t lambast them for trying and it not coming off it only serves to make players especially young players to go into their shell and they won’t develop or progress.
Get behind them cheers their efforts even if a pass or shot does not come off.
Make the SOL a couldren that opposing players dread coming to.
Make the atmosphere Electric and not Toxic.
Have it so World Class potential want to come to SAFC and play without fear for the Famous Red and White Stripes of Sunderland AFC.

Listened to a pod the other day. Man City fan. He was laughing about playing Real Madrid and fans were kicking off at misplaced passes despite jumping Real.

It’s not just us. It’s EVERY.SINGLE.CLUB

Don’t let anyone fool you or tell you SAFC are more fickle or worse than others.

Liverpool have the last 10 years we have then they would be just the same. Like everyone else would be.

Can’t recall the last time there was a toxic atmosphere at the SOL.
Maybe the seasons when we dropped straight from the Premier to League 1.
 
I’m going by what I hear around me every single game and some of the comments on here after games .
Some people will twist on 21.
Some right Fannys amongst modern day support 😁👍
Had it to easy all their days most probably ‘ never been told no or had a slap or reprimanded at school or home .
Far to expectant and entitled maybe ???

Can hardly say anyone expectant or entitled when they’ve sat through League One and the worst period in the club’a history.
 
A small minority of SAFC fans love a good twist for fuck all and love a scape goat so to speak .
Gooch gets some undeserved stick around me .
The Lad gives his all and has been played out of position all over the show for 3-4 seasons .
Gives his all no matter where played and still cops stick .
09 another who gets stick from a small minority and plays all over the shop.
Like I say some just like to twist .
It needs to stop and we need to get right behind the Lads no matter what and make the SOL a couldren just like when Reidy had it bouncing .

I couldn't criticise any fan that attends as opposed to ones that just stop in the Town and watch it on the pubs.

Disagree with that mind. The atmosphere was far more toxic in the Premier League years and through our decline. The past couple of years the positivity has came back. I rarely hear anyone moaning where I stand in the ground. I think people are aware of how young the squad is and what we are trying to do. Even when we went 1-0 down against Luton in play offs. Everyone in the SoL started singing and roaring the team on. But agree that the atmosphere could improve at home. Especially midweek games etc. The Luton game was the best I'd heard the ground for years and years

Never heard anyone near me slag Gooch off either. People are shouting "Gooooooch" not "Booooo" incase you didn't know... People realise Gooch isn't the greatest baller in the world but also realise he's sunderland through and through and gives it all every game. As does Luke 09. Saying that, I say Gooch isn't the best in the world but that goal down Sheff Utd earlier last season. And the ball he put in for Cirkin down west brom were both world class
