Season card - No Auto Renew

Had a part season ticket last year but been a continuous season ticket holder since 2014 and had one since Roker Park before that.

I’ve checked my account and it has no record of me having a season ticket prior to last season for some reason so wonder if that’s why I haven’t got the full discount
That's why as you had a part season ticket last season so unfortunately not a full season holder.

Does anybody else think the concession provided to the over 65s is way too generous when compared an adult price?
In my area the over 65 cost is more than £250 lower than my ticket!
Which loyalty group and colour section are you in?

I can't see a £250 difference but the ubers loyalty tier is £270 estimated in the blue section. It's been a 13.8% increase for adults and 18.2% increase for over 65 so have you paid the correct price and also comparing the correct prices and not an incorrect price due to the club's mistakes?

If it's the 2023'er loyalty tier then the percentage increase is even higher. It's 19% for adults and over 30% for over 65s. The glory supporters are around 4% across the board but the over 65s are only £130 to £160 less which is around 20-24% once prices will be realigned. Last season for over 65 in blue section, it was £330 for EB renewal but for glory supporters it was £480 as it went up £150 or 45%. It was a 25% increase in the other 2 section, yellow and red.

It's clear that since 2023/24 that the club would prefer more adults in the East & West stand paying the higher prices with the concessions in the 2 ends, North & South.

Well, I'm 60, had a season ticket coming up to 40years. Somebody 65 can come along, their first season and get it for £169 cheaper than me. My mate and his grandson(over 65 and under 18) sit either side of me. I did their tickets yesterday, both of theirs together are £110 cheaper than mine. I don't begrudge it, because we need to look after our older supporters and encourage the young, but the loyalty discount is a good gesture, but pitiful really.
Again, which loyalty group and colour section are you in?

I don't follow as there's nowhere in the 3 loyalty tiers that an adult is £110 more that an over 65 + U18 price. It's £10 in the uber tier, £90 in the 2023'ers and £10 cheaper for new ST holders. Again, are you comparing incorrect prices?

As a percentage increase, the OAP and U18 are similar yellow section but higher in the blue and red sections. As above, the club is increasing prices in certain areas of the ground for those on concession prices.

I got my maths a little wrong, however, I'm in UBER blue so the difference is an astonishing £270 🤷 I feel that is way too generous.

It is if you just focus on that £270 difference but as I said, their prices has gone up by a higher percentage as yours was 13.8% and O65 was 18.2%. This is long winded and may send you to sleep but if you follow it then you may see it a bit differently.

Aye it's £270 more and it's cheaper by 40% at the moment but last season it was £250 and a larger 43% cheaper. Nobody really mentioned it being generous in past years and although the gap in £'s has gone up, the percentage of OAP discount they get is now actually less. In 2023 for example, it was £395 for adult and £230 for O65, £160 difference or 41%.

However, if you look at the price list, in time they will get higher % increases to bring it more into line with the glory supporters. The glory O65 prices are £110 more (28%) than uber O65 supporter renewals, whereas the adult glory prices are just £65 more (8%) than the uber. The difference in the glory tier pricing between an adult and O65 is a difference is £215 which is down to 30% and lower than many prior seasons.

It's also going up to 67 years from next season and although there are many well off pensioners, there's plenty more less affluent. You can see by looking at the average income from the GOV website and it's probably less up here as few will have owt more than a state pension income.

The average weekly income for a single pensioner in the UK is approximately £282 (£14,664 per year), while retired couples have a combined income of around £595 per week. Income levels vary by age, with those under 75 averaging £455 per week compared to £372 for those 75 or older

Many of our current OAPS have probably gone to games for many seasons and paid many full prices for seasons, as will those who will be hitting that age in coming seasons. Few will be the glory supporters who just started going last season. In time once price realign, I'd say that 30% was a fair discount for an OAP.

Anyone that has questions over the cost it’s worthwhile getting in touch with the club.

They’ve responded to my lovely email and lowered the cost from £615 to £571
Did you email or use the enquiry form on Ask SAFC? I used the form Monday evening but I've not heard back yet.

We did yes, half expecting them to not have any records so taking down plenty of evidence with me!
I’m also in P7 previously in BCB we are all getting same message, I know off a few that have gone to ticket office & issue has been resolved, for some reason the ex BCB members are still shown as premium subscription

For a first time buyer yes. For someone who has been a season ticket holder for a number of years, no.

Yes. For me £661.50.. My mate£573 with his grandson. Him £391.50 his grandson £181.50..

Aye same for me.
I also went into the ticket yesterday and added proof of last year's seasons tickets but nowt still.
Ticketing system looks a bit shit to be fair, doesn't tell you of it's been assigned, read or just sitting in the ether

I don't no
Like all things related to pensioners not all of them are skint but a good chunk of older Safc supporters are at a basic level regards income once they stop work. Going forward we know this problem will get worse and football here has always been supported by ordinary working class folk . The match is still an accessible easy way for older to get out and enjoy their time .

Ah, that's a £90 difference, not £110 for UBERs in blue section. This is along the same lines as the reply I did in post #2187 further up the page as it's always been that way yet never really been an issue for anyone.

The season we went down to League One in 2018, renewal was £395 for an adult, £230 for O65 and £90 for U18 which was £75 cheaper or 29%. This renewal stage is a step to bringing prices back into line with GLORY is £660/£390/£180 is the £90 difference and 17%.

The glory difference for new ST holders this season is £715/£500/£255 so it's now £40 more for those 2 added together than an adult. This is because the club wants to make more money for the East/West stand rather than offer cheap concessions like other parts of the ground. Look at the graphic from 2018/19 as even the front row of the East stand was cheaper.

Tbh I could’ve pushed for a further discount but I can’t be arsed for £20
I'm not sure if you've got me on ignore as I replied to you yesterday in post #2139 as this could be misleading info to fans.

I think you possibly didn't get a discount, nor would get more and it's likely they've just corrected the mistake of overcharging you like they have many more fans.

£615 was the price for an adult in the yellow section who only bought a ST in 2025/26 would pay. £571 is for a ST from 2023/24 and it's £551 for a ST on or before 2022/23.

The only way you've got discount is if you only started going last season.
