Scumbag Short Slagging the fans

Pinch of salt springs to mind. If you were trying to sell it you would be saying if you get it right this club is massive with fantastic fan base which would be true. You certainly wouldn’t be slagging it off.

David preece said short hasn't been selling the club to potential buyers at all, short has sagged the fans off and just about everything else but himself
why would David Preece know this? *(genuine question,I have no idea what he does)

 I like Preece on the podcast like. Seems a canny fella. He'll just be passing on a bit of info he has heard, nowt to get upset about either way.

Markham made some interesting comments as well about a credible offer being there while we were still in the Prem. He didn't pull up Preece either iirc.

Me too.......I remember when he was reluctant to give the Ladies Team £30, 000 (2012/2013) to meet the criteria with the FA to apply for Super League 1 status. The tight twat offered £10,000 and was more concerned on getting the Hilton Hotel off the ground.....Mags Byrne just sat in her office eating chocolate at the situation at the time, telling everyone how much she hated O'Neill.
She would. Look at the size of her.

This, tonight I'm staying at home. I've been a season ticket holder for 15 years or so but the weather is shitty, I have work in the morning and I think it's another defeat coming. I'm basing that on watching us win one or two games a year.

Literally there is nothing I'm excited about at the club anymore. It can change instantly if new owners come in. Some fresh ideas, some new players and some wins and I'd be there like a shot.
I'm going soon but I have no fancy for it at all. If it wasnt for the bairn I'd toy with the idea of staying at home. Crowd will be circa 15k/17k inside the ground irrespective of what they announce (and yes i'm well aware that they count tickets sold blah, blah, blah).

why would David Preece know this? *(genuine question,I have no idea what he does)
I've no idea how or why he would know. He used to be a reserve keeper for us years ago and all of a sudden he has cropped up as some sort of bastion of truth relating to SAFC. Its all a bit left field.

How could he pull him up when neither will have the foggiest as to what negotiations have even taken place.

People barely even know what Short is like let alone being privy to the inner workings of his financial deals. This great unto undisclosed club insider we now have - the ex-player who never played once over twenty years ago.

Club is for life.

For the same reason people have on here, why would Short criticise the product he is trying to sell.

It's what I thought too. I mean I'm inclined to believe him, it seems obvious. But how would he know with the authority in which he spoke.

This is Elis Short we are talking about here. Please don't start looking for logic otherwise you will end up in a padded cell.

I think it's possible that David Preece knows things about the takeovers.

Although the club may well be keeping their cards close to their chest, if say for example there are two or three interested consortia, with 5 in each, that's 15 folk who will all have various mates, business acquaintance, etc etc.

News will leak out all over. Especially if they have then spoken to people with Sunderland links e.g. Niall Quinn who will then potentially tell Mickey gray for example.

I'm not surprised people have info at all.

It was more interesting that the other fella said a deal was lined up while we were in premier league but the goalposts moved, presumably by Short.
