Scumbag Short Slagging the fans

There is a stat kicking about that shows SAFC have had is considerably worse than any other club in results terms in over a decade. Something like 35 less wins than than the nearest PL or FL club over the piece.

Also, factor in 4 relegations in 20 years, 3 times rock bottom, 2 times breaking records for shitness. No home wins in nearly a calendar year (I’m sure we hold the record for this streak now), and under messrs McCarthy and Wilkinson I’m sure we lost 17 straight league games, nearly equalling Darwen’s record from the 19th Century.

This all, cumulatively, takes its toll. The fan base is weary, it’s been beaten into submission. This is not fickleness, it’s way beyond that.
Sense talking ^

That's correct Randy. I still have the promotional VHS tape that went into some depth about "Wearmouth Sadium" (I kid you not about the typing error!) it was going to be all glass on what was the equivalent of the west stand and need have a 34,000 capacity.

With hindsight it might have been a better idea (that size I mean).

It doesn't make any sense at all for him to slag everything and everybody off. Nobody would be that stupid surely when he is trying to sell the club to investors.

What a load of tosh, he may not know how to run a football club but he knows how to buy and sell one. No business man or salesman would criticise the product he is trying to sell

f***ing right as well, half the c*nts were only there in the Prem because of free/cheap tickets and the same half fucked off this season when we went down and the cheapies/freebies stopped. f***ing wankers, even Quinny stuck the boot into our wishy-washy, fairweather fanbase man.
I don't get to many games now, with being 3000km away. But I totally understand a mate of mine who started going to matches at the same time I did thirty years ago... He couldn't justify spending 80-120 squids on watching us get turned over by everyteam in the top 2 divisions. Fair play to the people who still go, but the £1000 I've saved this season on not being able to go looks a lot better in my savings account than paying off Ellis

see you next season
I remember last time we were in division 3. Granted, capacity constrained at Roker Park, but our average attendance was between 17k and 18K i think, which wasn't bad for the 3rd division. Wonder how many we'll get next season?

Meh all hear say, would rather hard facts.

Still people defend him :lol::lol::lol:
Short was the type of owner you would want he provided funds to each manager, I dont blame him for giving up on the club and I dont blame him for wanting some of his money back, but I do blame him for not creating a culture of excellence at the club.

Short is trying to sell the club but does so by slagging the fans off? I don’t know, the man obviously has some business sense hence how he has a few quid.

You must be daft then. He's took us to our lowest ebb in our entire history with the largest debt in our history. He's destroyed a football club from top to bottom.

Can anyone explain the comments ref 'a deal having been as good as done when Sunderland in the Premier leave but then the goal posts were moved'?
Thanks,

Everyone loved him when he was giving talks at Wembley, celebrating derby wins and sporting FTM badges

Not true.

Nope.
I want an owner with a football brain, or one competent enough to appoint people who can fill the gaps in in his own knowledge.
Short is actually the owner the mags would like us to have.
