So you are saying we do it illegally and that's OK?Tbf we don't use modern slavery to build our infrastructure. When not legally anyhow.
It's looked utterly soulless from the outside like. Follow a couple of lads on twitter who went. Must have walked round that corniche thing about 350 times. Did the same thing over and over again. Getting to that tent ground england played at a bit appeared to be painful.Met plenty locals and I take people as I find them.
I’ve been very impressed with Doha. It’s spotlessly clean, well organised, ultra safe, great fun and a cultural melting pot - it’s been class
Jesus. Of course it's not OK.So you are saying we do it illegally and that's OK?
I'm pretty sure qatar do it 'legally' too. Not sure what your point is
I do understand, but you seem to think it happens in qatar? I'm pretty sure it's legal to have migrant workers , pretty much like it is everywhere else in the world. It's looked utterly soulless from the outside like. I've been to dubai and that was woeful (very nice hotels granted). This just looked a small scale, quiet version of that.
What did look good was that they were able to go to loads of games. But just highlighted it was a tournament for those who had a lot of spare cash.
Jesus. Of course it's not OK.
My fairly simple point is slavery is bad. Why's that so hard to understand?
Because the fella you’re talking to makes Karl Pilkington look like Max Planck. My fairly simple point is slavery is bad. Why's that so hard to understand?
Yeah, is it routine everywhere else for those migrant workers to have their passports confiscated by their employers so they can’t leave?I do understand, but you seem to think it happens in qatar? And pay witheldBecause the fella you’re talking to makes Karl Pilkington look like Max Planck.

They haveDon’t think so just it’s Mexico, USA and Canada, my mate who comes on holiday can’t get in to the USA cos he was a naughty boy many years ago![]()
Why has the world cup never been held in these vile places before then? Its getting worse, wouldn't be surprised if these oil laden ,fascist states just buy the premier league, uefa, fifa , the lot.
IdiotBecause the fella you’re talking to makes Karl Pilkington look like Max Planck.

Another example about my stay in Doha. I lived in a nice apartment block. My place had something that was described to me as a “maid’s quarters.” It had no windows and the lock was on the outside.
I know what you mean, but you'd like to think the world had moved on a bit by nowWas held in Argentina in the 70s whilst they had a military junta in charge and thousands of people were "disappearing".
Awareness is much more commonplace now but people had to be aware of that then.
Spain probably won the rights to 82 as or not long after being Francoist.
Good grief. I'm saying it's wrong to use modern day slavery. Which they do in Qatar. Do you think the kafala system is acceptable?I do understand, but you seem to think it happens in qatar? I'm pretty sure it's legal to have migrant workers , pretty much like it is everywhere else in the world.
If that's the entirety of your rebuttal, I think you've proven my point far beyond anything I can do.Idiot
Off course I have, a few cheap thrills for you thereIf that's the entirety of your rebuttal, I think you've proven my point far beyond anything I can do.
Yet slavery doesn't happen here, I see it alot on London. But that's OK.....because its legalGood grief. I'm saying it's wrong to use modern day slavery. Which they do in Qatar. Do you think the kafala system is acceptable?
They have limited protections. They have their passports confiscated. They work ridiculous hours comfortably double to what is normal in the western world. They have huge chunks of their pay taken from various agencies. They are forced to work in oppressive heat which has ultimately led to hundreds being killed. They aren't free to speak out against their conditions or employers. They are segregated from the rest of qatar and forced to live in accommodation that is similar to out prisons. They are treated like modern day slaves.
Literally making no sense now mate.Off course I have, a few cheap thrills for you there

Perfect sense. You are attacking qatar for modern slavery, I'm simply saying it happens here. Maybe not in North Yorkshire, but it sure does happen.Literally making no sense now mate.

Oh again, so that's OK then..................Not legally it doesn't.
It's Vancouver and Toronto in Canada. I will probably head to Vancouver for a trip as it's only a few hour drive from where I stay.Have the venues been announced?
