A nice crisp vegetable samosa with a good spicey vegetable filling takes a lot of beating. Unfortunately there are a lot of bad ones about. Soggy chewy pastry triangles filled with loads of cold mashed potato - they go like rubber when you heat them up.
The samosas that you get in most supermarkets are tasteless and nothing like proper samosas at all. You can even get giant sized samosas in some shops. If their rediculous size isn't an indication of their disgusting quality I don't know what is.

Made well, all are good, but supermarket ones tend to be to heavy on the pastry and weak on the filling.

Well I wouldn't have posted it if he didn't.
There was a shop on the way to southall from Ealing Hosp that sold them as they made them. This was a few years ago mind but they were the best I’ve ever had. 4 for £1 too.
