I think that's something that is likely to happen assuming nowt happens before the start of the season. The recent RAWA survey had a question about putting pressure on the owners and it said "82% would support Red and White Army applying pressure on the owners to sell to a reputable buyer and at a realistic price. 7% would not". That's a pretty big mandate for it. Anything further from RAWA would likely be ran past the members first, but the question likely wouldn't have been included if there was no intention of acting on it. Many will say there's nowt RAWA can do, which is right enough if Donald won't sell, but I think it's safe enough to assume that further pressure will be applied when the time is right. Said before though, a good, reputable group actually being prepared to confirm officially that they want to buy the club would be a huge boost in this regard.

I just worry this is all smoke and mirrors. A few minor things seem to indicate he may plan on staying and having another go. This absolutely cannot happen. It shouldn't even be down to fans groups, the local media and particularly the echo, should be hammering this every day in my opinion. Nothing hateful or spiteful but continually holding him to account and questioning him, in much the same way Chris Weatherspoon has been.

Interesting that MG Jones. Number 1 fan lol... et al have all been silenced. Anyone know why MG in particular isn't speaking up?

You should not come in here expecting news. Gossip, rage, hope, frustration, bed wetting, wrist slitting, short term bursts of optimism, made up shite by attention seeking bairns, tinfoil hat theories etc yes, this is your first port of call.
facts, well then SAFC or the BBC or the Echo.

Wouldn't trust the Echo or Safc too much, as for the BBC, just spout Government propaganda.

The new owners (in waiting) will have consented to that deal. SD wouldn't. Why would he if he's more or less out of the club.

Reasons to be cheerful! I say. Little clues here and there.

I would say the much more likely scenario is that SD signs a five year deal with the company paying up front for the contract.
He pockets the money then leaves the new owners with the shite contract, along with shite academy, players etc etc

Fully agree. I'm led to believe that nothing is even remotely close. I've brought up the idea of protests/ pressure with RAWA previously and will continue to feed back that I think we need to be taking further steps to at least raise awareness and try to put some pressure on him assuming nothing happens here. I'm far from being alone in thinking more pressure might be needed mind, they won't need me to bring it up and I doubt I'll be the only one thinking it! Like I say I'm aware that RAWA can't force a sale or choose who the sale is to etc, but assuming the members agree then the job of the group is to represent the members and so some form of action would, imo, be in order, and I think the committee largely agree.

Good to hear mate

To be fair though, and while I appreciate that these surveys are difficult to write, that's such a loaded question, because outside of the most successful clubs in the country, who wouldn't support their own selling to a reputable buyer for a reasonable price? And even then, what does that mean? Who decides reputable and a fair price? The fans?

Until a reputable buyer comes forward, I really think there's one option for fans who are determined to get rid of Donald: Stay away. That's the only way any of us can realistically affect the pricing of the club. A protest might help let off steam, but it's not going to achieve much if we don't actually have a buyer at the table.

Too late for that, the limited season tickets will have gone. The money is banked.

The ONLY thing Donald cares about is his ego and money, so giving in to peer pressure is a no no for his ego.
However if every week he owns SAFC cost him money, he will go sooner rather than later.

Can we start the media campaign up again to get rid of this tw*t now please? RAWA, WMS, RR, and no fannies with the "not speaking for me" drivel. This absolute c*nt needs to be under no illusions that any other outcome other than him leaving is unacceptable. Hes going to have another go here, i would rather not go up this year if we could guarantee getting rid of him. If we somehow got promoted he would probably up his asking price to something even more ridiculous, not be able to fund a championship side and it will end up with us being back down here with him still in charge.
Can we also organise a sit in at his local bus stop ;)

That my friend is exactly what the Chancer's would be capable of. Anyone who is seriously discussing a takeover would not allow that to happen prior to or as a part of the negotiation. A block would be put on all impending contacts or deals unless discussed and agree as acceptable by the incoming management.

You might well be right. I don't know for certain but would assume that any further pressure or whatever from RAWA would need a further vote from members first after the last time. I believe the question in the survey was just to get an idea as to whether it was something fans would want, which it presumably is. I also largely agree about the staying away thing being the most effective form of protest, but again it would be one for the members to decide and the RAWA as a group simply tries to represent their wishes. If enough members wanted to try something to highlight the issue and hope to pressure him that way then it would be considered. And again, agree that a group going public about wanting to buy us would be ideal. I know there's been interest but many groups would rather stay quiet (which looking at Storey is probably a good plan, makes it harder to sell any form of protest though). What can be done and what effect it can have is for others to debate really, but personally if Donald is still here during next season I'll be very worried for the future of the club and would want to be doing something (not shop shouting or mock funerals mind)

The issue with fans staying away as rightly pointed out is that he amount of season tickets allowed to be sold have been sold and the owner doesn't give a damn whether people turn up to the games or not. I cant see of a way that as fans we can seriously force SD to sell the cub and to be honest if we push too hard out of sheer spite he may sell to someone who he knows doesn't have the money to take us forward. Unfortunately this is the money driven world of modern football where the fans opinions and feelings don't really count for much
