Nathan Gunn
Striker
Could it not be he has quickly flown back over to avoid having to quarantine in case he does agree to sign? Just a thoughtI can't believe they'll have flown him over here again, not having agreed terms. Surely not....

I don’t agree he’s proven himself a bigger fan than anyone else, I do agree he’s entitled to tweet what he wants and to fair he’s been right about the owners pretty much from the start, so I do tend to listen to what he says.Weatherspoon has been largely correct in spirit about our owners since Donald tried to hang him out to dry. I disagree on some of his detail, but we both - along with a number of posters on here - foreshadowed the potential creative accounting that has come to pass.
So basically, why shouldn't he tweet about his gut feeling? He's proven himself a bigger fan than any of us, which one day I hope becomes more public knowledge.
Great to get our number one target and it certainly seems like a progressive signing. All that being said, it has to be a concern that the club have looked at the issues the team has had for the past two seasons and decided that the solution is more centre halves. If we don’t improve our attacking threat we’re achieving fuck all this season. Our top transfer target apparently so the club will be very happy this is getting done
He will. In the end he'll have to, but he might take us a long way down with him.
The man has the delusional self regard of the rich man's son, unable to match his father's success. A massive failure at Eastleigh and an even bigger one here. He is going to lose a lot of money again at a football club, but his enormous ego and vanity has him thinking he is just one more roll of the dice from the big time.
A loser and a gambler. A toxic mix, and we are infected by it.

I hope he does marra. As I say he looks a good signing. We’re desperate as an attacking force though. Need so much improvement and I’m far from convinced that a centre half - even one who mimics Willis from the left - will unlock us.He's a left footed, ball-playing CB, which after a new striker was my number one priority this summer. I think the importance of balance across the back 3 is understated and this signing will have more of an impact than just getting another CH in. Hume was hung out to dry on many occasions last year with a lack of cover from Flanagan/Lynch, neither of them were particularly mobile or good at passing. With Arby X, Wright and Willis we'll have 3 mobile, ball-playing CBs, which should hopefully allow the wing-backs to push forward even more.
I reckon this lad has been earmarked to do a similar job to Willis i.e getting forward and overlapping to support the attack, could massively help us in an attacking sense as defenders will now have to worry about this from both flanks, whereas it was just willis/o'nien last year, the less predictable we are the better.

Shurrup whinging man. If you can’t see what a naturally left sided centre back can do for the team then you need to take up bog snorkelling or toad sexing. Can't create/score gerls but buckled wiv centre halves.....
Fookin Parkie lad

Absolute nail on the head mate.It will add to us going forward as Hume in particular is loath to really cut loose knowing he is leaving a gap.So in effect 09 and Hume can be basically wingers especially at homeHe's a left footed, ball-playing CB, which after a new striker was my number one priority this summer. It’s unlikely to transform us from the mid-table attacking team we currently are to one of the best in the league, mind.Shurrup whinging man. If you can’t see what a naturally left sided centre back can do for the team then you need to take up bog snorkelling or toad sexing.
