Weatherspoon has been largely correct in spirit about our owners since Donald tried to hang him out to dry. I disagree on some of his detail, but we both - along with a number of posters on here - foreshadowed the potential creative accounting that has come to pass.

So basically, why shouldn't he tweet about his gut feeling? He's proven himself a bigger fan than any of us, which one day I hope becomes more public knowledge.
That last paragraph certainly sounds interesting.

He still doesn't gain much from it, people aren't taking him seriously anyway

He doesn't need to be taken seriously by us mate. No potential future contact will be ringing us up and saying 'what do you think of William Storey?'. Think about 2 or 3 years time, he's going to have to get his name out there over the intervening period for anything else, as long as it's semi plausible and makes him seem like he may have some access to other rich people.

Whoever his mark is in a few years time, they'll be researching him, looking through his news items and how 'close' he was to buying Sunderland and they may just make a decision to entertain him for 10% longer than they may have before now.

Eventually he will part a fool from his money, because people will assume that nobody would put themself through this utter degradation unless there was some truth to it. As long as he can bail before his hand is called, or get the other side to call it off, he gets his win.
That last paragraph certainly sounds interesting.

I have been told an awful lot about how much he has sacrificed in his career to stand by his allegations. I won't tell the full story, but we're talking making a call not many of us would make because he loves the club.

He has earned the right to a gut feeling in my book.
