You've only got to look at Wigan and Bury to know that "anyone but" is a very dangerous wish. That's why there's zero appetite for the likes of Storey and Campbell.

I suppose you’d have to hope you are immune to that type of thing due to your size but ultimately is any club at the moment? How desperate is Donald to get out I suppose? I think what’s difficult is ultimately being powerless as a fan.

If there was a takeover imminent he would not be getting rid of Cookey, he is cost cutting because he does not have a bean and survival is the name of the game now
I disagree mate. My belief is the salary cap has changed his calculations and reduced his cost base. With a bit more penny pinching, which we know he is very good at, he thinks he can see the season out and chance at promotion in which looks on paper like a weaker division than the previous 2 seasons. The leak to Barnes was a distraction tactic to see him through the summer.

I’d definitely be concerned who he sells to, for instance if it was Storey I think we may as well start a Phoenix club.

The main thing for me is whoever he sells to, need a proper plan in place. Start using the academy, stop touting our best you players for pittance, hire managers who can carry on a defined style of play and tailor recruitment to said style.

Donald talked a big game, the reason I want him out is simply because I feel lied to.
My opinion goes something like this. for arguments sake there are two bidders. Both are willing and able to meet his valuation. One has a long term strategy to take the club forward. The other one is a chancer who will ultimately see us in receivership. Donald would sell us to the second one.

Not been keeping up with the takeover at your end much with our fake one. Is it a case of anyone but Donald or are there concerns about flogging to anyone?
It's not an anyone but scenario, but we absolutely need a change ASAP. The worry is that the totally unrealistic price has scared off any decent options we have.

main point is marra that he doesn’t want to sell and I think as u say he has thrown up a smokescreen to pass the time

Same as Short did then

Outside looking in the current owner seems to be strangling the club slowly. I think it would be the selling of the academy talent that would probably worry me the most. It’s always been your trump card for years and years.

I think if that was the case he'd actually be trying to give us as good a chance as possible of going up. He isn't doing anything but laying people off with no replacements. He doesn't have the money to improve us now without help and he can't afford to keep bleeding.

I think he will be gone soon, people just can't be patient eveb when they have been told it the timeline is completely normal.

He has ruined the academy, but thats what happens when you put your mate in a role he can’t do and sell everyone who has any value

This is where the sorry excuse for local media should be applying pressure and highlighting what hes doing. The weak little weasel of a man doesn't like criticism or being unpopular. The Echo etc should be waging a sustained campaign against the bell end, as should the likes of Downie etc. If this was going on up the road they would all be constantly banging the drum.

I agree there should have been wider coverage and more uproar about the management of the club over the last few years like. 100%.
