It's possible that's not what he was alluding to, it's just what some people took from it.

He said due diligence wouldn't be a problem. Bearing in mid that he has basically now confirmed that he was given his exclusive by Donald, I think Donald saying that is typical in a deluded, arrogant kind of way. As in 'due diligence won't be a problem, the club's in the best financial state it's ever been' etc.
