Well that's just it. Some people you might not ask for proof of funds, if it's someone that you know has a lot of money. On the other hand if some lunatic in a replica strip who has a company that had £500 in the bank, a product that no one seems to be able to buy, and a history of lying rocks up and offers you £35m I think you'd probably say "can you prove you have access to the funds". Like I say, if he didn't he could potentially be wasting valuable time whilst a tyre kicker has a nose around the accounts.

Disagree. Another poster put it a lot better above, but basically they aren't gonna believe someone is serious until they prove they have the funds. Especially someone with track record like Storeys. Prehab might be full of shit but don't agree with your reasoning like.

And Donald won't know which of those applies to Storey without asking to see proof of funds. If I went and offered him £40m tomorrow do you think he'd just let me in for a look around at the accounts? To be honest this just seems like you've made a leap to try and discredit a poster who has posted what he can in good faith. It's obvious that Donald might well want to see proof of funds before delaying a process when there are other interested parties, so you haven't found some smoking gun that proves the poster is making it all up.

That's what people are saying you wouldn't let storey have access to any of that without proven he had the funds and you were saying proof of funds wasn't needed. Now you seem to be thinking it was me who said it wasn't needed and I'd let him loose cause he turned up with a vintage shirt on.

Storey might be serious and might jabe the backers and funds he claims. Only one way to find out, "Could you provide proof of funds please Mr Storey?"

Purely speculation from me but if Rubberface's source is information indirectly via MG then his info would be from inside one of the consortium's. They wouldn't necessarily have knowledge of what else is going on outside of their own bid.

Prehab/Magnus appear to receive information indirectly from the club so would get the bigger picture.
