I think there are obviously a few bidders and as one raises the offer, SD tells other then they raise and it goes on and on.

Maybe Friday is some pre agreed end point?

Like a legal version of "I will make my decision on Friday and inform everyone concerned"
Few bidders in! Two or three months ago nobody would touch us with a barge pole. My guess is they've struck oil under the centre circle.

@rubberface how much do you trust your source?

Is it possible that they know they’re not in pole position and are drip feeding information out to remind Donald that they’re still there? Like a low key Storey perhaps?

Just a possible suggestion as to why there’s so much uncertainty over which group is in the leading position, of course it could be the other group doing the same thing
Lot of 'politics' involved and persornatillay clashes.

Without knowing anything regarding the group behind MG it's hard to say which option I'd prefer.

I'll say one thing about MG, he called the current owners intentions/limitations way before anyone else.

No involvement from GF you don't think? That one seems the most plausible to me.

Day one and is the reason Donald doesn't like him. To think the majority thought he was just being bitter about not getting a deal together.

Short had a spat with him aswell didnt he?

Are you mad man £37m he wants for a lg 1 club, that loses money when it had £50 m in parachute money and you think they are billionaires kicking the door down to buy our club.
Just think about it rationally 🤷🏻‍♂️

I've never understood why MG gets a lot of shit that he does on here. If he's got a credible consortium together and him being a MLF I can't see why it's such a bad proposition.

Very true. I remember a tweet from MG very soon after SD took over, suggesting that if we weren’t promoted in the first season that it would be a very bad situation for the club. Exactly that happened. I’m sure that whoever MG has gotten involved he would have the very best intentions for the club.

There is one group who is far enough along to be in charge of all negotiations. It's never been off, on, off and on. It's been on. And still is. William Storey has literally never been in pole position, he hasn't shown proof of funds once.

Why do you say Storey hasn't shown proof of funds? Not required until EFL approval - you're talking shite marra.

I thought people normally wanted to see proof of funds before letting anyone into the data room? After all at that point you're giving them exclusive access to the figures and things. If they don't actually have the money then it's simply delaying you from being able to progress talks with a serious bidder. Equally it increases the chances of someone just saying they want to bid a lot purely to see the books. I'd fully expect the seller to want to see proof of funds to ensure they aren't wasting their time, and then the EFL to also want to see them later

If Jeff Bezos wanted a look would you ask of proof of funds?
