I cannot comment on a lot of what you say here but I would say every man/woman that owns a football club is a vanity project in some shape or form.
try the Henrys at the dippers...American and English vanity projects
I dont think he lost interest, i think he was sick of trusting people at the club who would spend 10’s of millions of his money and get nothing in return. He would then have to write a new cheque every month for millions as the people running the club didnt know what they were doing.
He was pulling his hair out at the end mate.. He paid people an awful lot of money to do a job most of us would die for only to be let down by their incompetence.

I agree with that, People seem to be putting 2+2 together with Satori knowing Rybovolev and assuming he's in the makeup of this new ownership.

Anyone know how much Furhman is even worth?
His net worth is unknown but said to be billions. Ive even seen as much as 16 billion quoted but thats not confirmed

I've noticed Kyle Dempsey has signed for Gillingham and Luton want Mitchell. I hope we aren't dragging out feet and only changing tactics now because of the salary cap.

I don't agree with the salary cap but we should have been planning our transfer strategy as if it was going to pass regardless of the vote. We all knew it was coming in.

Looks like Garbutt is the top target for this position

I thought we had about £20k a week to play with?

The average salary in the Swiss Superleague ( ) earn CHF 13,900 (I assume this is a month taking the comparison of other figures quoted) which is about £2,500-£3,000 a week so even if we were matching that we should be able to afford him.

In theory yes, but because of the salary cap we're limited as to how high we can offer for 1 player, if we offered 5k say that only leaves room for 3 players on a similar wedge and I think the club want to bring in more than that number.

In all likelihood he will have got a better offer abroad, but definitely the sort of signing we should be targeting.

When the sun comes out mags converge to the coast

I drove past the Seaburn grand yesteday, there’s two rooms on the corner with big windows where you can sit and look out to sea. There was a barcode sat there loving life. I mean wtf yer a mag sitting watching the good folk of Sunderland meander by, perplexed me like

I agree completely, but I’d rather bring in 4 players who are potentially too good for this division in key areas at the top end of the wage cap, than 8 bog standard L1 playoff-standard players at £2.5k a week.
