Safety

At what point will you think to yourself, - That's us safe from relegation?
I would say most of us away from the public domain (In the company of Mags) are quietly confident we won't go down now. It would take an unreal turn of events.
However, question to hand - I think, go to West Ham and don't get beat. And then beat Burnley at home and I will be thinking - Yeah thats us now safe / near as dammit

40 points near enough every season since i was little tbh, 40 should always be the marker. This season another 3 or 4 points will be enough as the bottom 3 are shite. although i cant see them getting any where near us so this season we are safe already IMO.

I still have PTSD of 96/97 12th in Feb and looking like we would be comfortable and then slowly being sucked into it and going down.

Seen it happen to Sheff Wed a couple years before too. They went down on 43 points and sat on 40 from mid March. Remember seeing the highlights and Big Ron literally nutting the dug out as it all went to shite.

If you're talking about how many points needed to be safe this season, I'd say 35.

If you're saying when are we safe, I'd say give your head a shake as there is no way we are going to anywhere near going down now.

No team in the history of football has ever been relegated after they've amassed 33 from 22 games.

Someone said the bookies have us at 50/1 to get relegated now, should be infinity/1
