This is Reiver's final contribution to this, and possibly any other, thread.

Reiver has asked me to thank all the decent people who appreciate the information and post this message.

"Now that there's a 'conclusion' it's a good time to stop posting. The other information about the 'kick in the teeth', new owners' plans, the future of Ross and the replacements being considered will come out in time without my contribution. It's a shame that some posters can be vindictive and bitter without any good reason. The only common denominator seems to be a less than enthusiastic outlook on Sunderland. We have a bright future to look forward to and it's time for everyone to draw a line on the past. Haway the lads!"

For what it's worth, I can't disagree with a word of that. In the course of this and other threads, I've had my honesty, integrity and professional competence questioned. Like Reiver, I'm questioning the point of sharing anything at all because of the grief that comes with it.
The reactions on here have been ridiculous.
Reiver put forward news as he heard it.
Why some need to belittle stuff that brings hope and happiness is beyond me.
Hope you and @Reiver continue to post on here. Plenty of people are grateful for the info...however sketchy.

Tony Davison is managing director iirc. It’s separate role to chairman so he shouldn’t be affected, unless the new owners have someone else in mind for the job. Given what he did at spurs I don’t think he’s got anything to worry about.
Hopefully not going anywhere, Sunderland through and through that lad...will always have the clubs best interests at heart.

Heard a very random rumour something is happening at midnight tonight regarding takeover. Seemed a bit of a strange time and didn't really ask much, as was a conversation between 2 people and didn't want to but in. Probably shite like, but plenty of that on here so another bit won't hurt.
I can't see that. Surely it would make bigger news here, within the football world, than in America

I think many decent, well-intentioned posters have had similar thoughts over the last few weeks. I'm not entirely sure why some think it appropriate to act in such reprehensible ways. They seem to have forgotten The Golden Rule, if they ever knew it. As a consequence, everyone loses out. One of many ironies is that the very people who tend to sling calumnies around like confetti when challenging the opinions of others, are the very same who tend to make ludicrous, unsupported statements disguised as "evidence" to prop up their own fragile assertions.

He was signed on reputation and goals marra. I’m talking about how his chance conversion is, how much work he does pressing defenders, what positions he shoots from, how many touches in the box he takes, what quality of chances does he create for others. This is where Ross goes wrong. He talks about goals scored and goals conceded but doesn’t think the next layer down. How were the goals created? What attributes or factors could help or hinder those goals. I reckon your Grigg example strengthens my argument rather than diminishing it.
Yep good reply

Thank you for your input to this board GOM, it is much appreciated and long may it continue. Please pass my thanks and regards to Reiver for the information he has provided.
I hope the naysayers don't stop your valuable input mate

It's obvious there's a load of posters on here who are jealous as fuck of reivier and the remarkable life he's lead and still leads through the work he's done

We all know who they are and it's pretty sad that they can get so worked up about a bloke who they don't know yet are still green eyed about him
Do they ever bring anything positive to this forum? I have most on of them on ignore.
