Well let's face it the forum is open for all to read, so if that was happening it would be in plain sight and people would pick up on it.

This whole discussion is derived from GOM wondering who or why a geniune sunderland fan got something innocently wrong and falsely insinuating something about the poster. If the subs bench poster Lo Ursem hadn't posted something innocently and incorrectly and posters hadn't accused them falsely of being a mag or journalist we wouldn't be having this discussion.

i am not saying either one is or is not correct, someone questioned whether journo's would use this board (or any other) and it has been shown in the past that they indeed do...the problem is that so many find the anonymity of a web forum the ideal place to spout bollox or use it to live a pretend life that when a thread has taken so many turns with quite a few bans, everyone tends to get that little bit more suspicious...and there has been quite a few new members lately, they may all be genuine fans who have idled for but this news has them wanting to join the banter now, we may never know.

I accepted it was happening some weeks ago. As someone else on here said, I wouldn’t be surprised or bothered if it was a low key affair.

Click on their posting history and you can tell whether they are genuine or not. It's a shame others didnt do this about Lo Ursem before throwing around accusations.

It made sense for Eisner to get involved in your club though.
None of us, including you can know at this time what their plans are, or what financial advantages may be available to them to regenerate the land around the stadium. I would suggest they have a long term plan that will provide them with a return on their investment. Just as Eisner has with your club, whether this involves the land around the ground remains to be seen. Just out of interest, how much of the land around Fratton park is actually owned by the club? Is there scope for regeneration? Would it be possible to either upgrade your ground or facilities or would that need you to move, apologies if we’ve discussed this before as I recall having a similar conversation but I can’t remember if it was with you or not.

Fair play, maybe there is an opportunity they've identified. Again, they're successful businessmen - it doesnt make much sense on what is known, but if they're doing it they'll have a reason we dont know of.

The club owns limited around our ground- just the car park to the North of it, but apparently they've been buying up other properties in the surrounding area.

Still up in the air about moving. As things stand, the only we we could build up is either rotating the ground 90 degrees, to build into the car park to the North; increasing the North stand, again by building backwards into the car park, or moving. There's rumour the club is frustrated with the city council over something getting in their way, but again nothing concrete.

I suspected there’d be a council at the bottom of it somewhere. I’d guess if surrounding property is being bought up then something is in the pipeline. I’m not an engineer, but I’d guess it would probably be more cost effective and future proof to rebuild rather than modernise FP. That being the case then patience will be required.
Pictures of pies?
Aah a kindred spirit.

I can only imagine everyones nerves on here had that new company not been set up on companies house this week. As soon as that happened any nerves i had went
That info from Companies House was the snippet that one or two posters had asked for last weekend confirming if the TO was still on, because of the silence by SD and the club... It helped settled nerves........just waiting for the full announcement now

You'd have no problems getting the fans on board to help with any building work, seeing that your support contains a high majority of Orcs within it.

I'll try not to feel too guilty. In my defence, this was booked over a year ago. I'll be around a little bit, but relying on doing it via the mobile, which is nowhere near is easy as my desktop, if I have to keep referring to other pages at the same. A bigger problem is that this tour is a private music festival, mainly in Santiago de Compostela (classical stuff), and a lot of the time I'll be in concerts with the phone switched off.

Have you ever been on the pilgrimage, Grumpy, la? I fancy doing that, although I wonder if it's already become too commercialised?

No, and I'm not sure my stamina would be up to the Camino now. As it happens, there's a kind of coach-based mini-Camino for the first few days, staying first in Zamora, and then in a parador in a converted monastery half way between Zamora and Santiago.

Sounds a good option for those who'd like to participate but might struggle with the full Camino. I imagine your itinerary is already full.

I went last year but in a van from santander, rather than walking!

Some commercial stuff around the cathedral but the town and the whole route topper... Canna get a drink, especially in Galicia, without them throwing bait at ya ~ chicken legs, bits of pie and such 😁👍
Also just went to the ticket office in Vigo for the Celta/Barca game! Class songs and that 😁⚽

The truth is, we could probably extend it even more. Pretty much anything is possible if you're willing to pay.
I doubt it, it would be ridiculously expensive to add a third tier to the main stand. If you look at East and South stands they are ready to extend, they even look half finished at the back. 64,000 Stadium of Light is relatively cheap and to be fair more than enough, we could fill it occasionally but doubt even with a Man.City like side that we would average crowds more than that. 42,000 wasn't enough so we extended and averaged 46,000 under Reid. 75,000 is not really worth the cost.

As someone else has said on here 65,000 is fairly easy with the South and East stand extensions.

If and big if we need to extend again, which would mean the club has gone stratospheric, we do have the land to extend further. In terms of big clubs in England we are quite unique in that we can extend easily and a cheap cost per seat ratio.

We have a lot to thank Sir Bob and his vision...its a big reason why 4 billionaires want to invest.
Bob certainly knows how to build!
