SAFC in Europe...

Didn't people bouycott* the two home games because the club doubled the normal price. I know I missed both matches but I don't remember the reason why.
* FTM.
I remember it cost my stepfather a fortune as we played Lisbon midweek, then Palace at home in the league on the Saturday. Monday was Derby in the league cup 1st replay then again on the Wednesday after Mondays draw.

What was it like with it being communist at the time?

😂😂😂😂

Well, since I'm a communist myself 😎 Always have been, always will 🤗

It was interesting non the less, there was Martial law in place and armed guards (soldiers) on every corner. I don't know what they made of (I think about 200 of us) wandering about the city streets with a curfew in place. Some of us ended up in an out of the way bar downstairs, more like a speakeasy. Can't remember if it was before or after our organised dinner (first time I'd had beef stroganoff 😃)

A bit of trouble (just argie bargie), no one way shot, going in and out of the airport but good fun at the actual ground. Vasas supporters all in 100% grey/green plain a fuck clothes. The were desperate to get their hands on anything coloured and pretty sure some lads were selling their Levi jeans 😂

Quite an experience 😎
