SAFC - Fan Ban & Ticket Cancellations

So what is in it for the person buying 65 tickets because if it was me, I couldn't be arsed with the faff etc
Because some people devote a big chunk of their life to running branches and helping their fellow fans.
Branches have always had an allocation and, as someone who went home and away for most of my time supporting, it wasn’t an issue, even if I missed-out on the odd one. For me, they’re an essential part of our fanbase and this is unnecessary

I think a lot of this is down to a change in demand for football rather than just us being in the PL again. I've pretty much always gone to 3 - 5 away games a season, regardless of league. Last time we were in the top flight I went to Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City and got tickets no problem (I've been a season ticket holder for 30 years). further back I got tickets for the 2:1 win at St James (when Shearer had his penalty saved) via a branch, but mostly I applied and got my tickets for very attractive games. I carried on doing 3-5 a season in the lower leagues including league 1, shelf wed away, Doncaster and so on, but now I don't have anywhere near enough points to get the vast majority of tickets, the demand is just that much higher. Price of success I suppose, it's s shame, I was enjoying going ot the odd away game with my kids in the lower leagues but those days seem to be over now, but I understand it's just the way it is.

If someone had offered me tickets for an away game that I couldn't get them myself I'd have taken them in a heartbeat, if the club are closing that option then will have to see where that leaves things in the future.

Fair play to them

I know the vast majority of branches and their members abide by the rules. It's the few who don't who are spoiling it for the people who do what they are supposed to

Still think there has to be more to this than is being aired here though

Ha’way man, it’s not a totalitarian society. It may be the odd ticket being passed onto someone else - is it really that important? It sounds to me like a good few who have bought them legitimately are being banned and their proof isn’t even being considered.

Just shite on behalf of the club for me. I bet they don’t do it to corporate types who do the same?
