SAFC - Fan Ban & Ticket Cancellations

Aye, I met Charlie Methven in a pub before hand as well  Think Maguire scored and we won 1-0 or 2-0.
I’ve just edited mine to say the same mate. It was the boozer round the corner from the station?
Aye, Maguire scored just after halftime and I missed it as my extremely pissed mate went missing - the silly sod was back sitting in his seat, whilst I was checking the toilets, outside and everything.

Not a reseller.

For eg - I buy mine and my mates ticket and we go to every game. I buy both so we can sit together and I can get on at 12 each time they go on sale. It’s akin to me doing something wrong in the clubs eyes and not just cancelling my ticket they cancel his as well despite him doing nowt wrong. That’s what’s happened here just scaled up
To have 65 cancelled, is that how many he bought on behalf of others? Or its been suggested here that the number could have been higher. Feel for the genuine lads who will miss out through no fault of their own but would they not know that he (whoever he is as I've no idea) was up to no good and therefore always a risk? Might make guys think twice about who organises their tickets and maybe they're better off buying their own

Aye that was the one mate  The away end was really good that night!

I don't know how branches work as I've never been part of one. Does the guy in question purchase every ticket for the branch?

If so, is that why the club have had to cancel all the tickets, as he has purchased all 65 and he has been found in breach of the terms or purchase.
Me neither but from what I have gleaned on here branches can still only buy 9 at a time so it only really benefits them in phase 1 but yes some branches have one person who buys every ticket

i doubt genuine fans who have bought tickets with the correct points will be affected.
another thing to note is that the tickets haven't even been sent out yet so nobody knows if the person turning up on sunday will be the person who bought the ticket so there must be evidence of previous wrongdoing.

I promise you, this is exactly what has happened.

If anyone genuinely affected by this broad-brush action by the club is thinking of contacting the media, please let me know via DM.

So has he bought them with same banking details, if so then that is so obvious to detect or have they detected the same IP address on purchasing.

Out of curiosity, why havent the people in the group bought the tickets themselves? They are guilty by association, but also in breach of the t&c's if they were aware of his wrong doings, as shit as that might be

Not necessarily guilty by association at all.

1) Have they knowingly aided someone to get 'round the system?

2) If they haven't aided someone, then could they reasonably have known that their tickets would be cancelled in the event the buyer was found to be crossing the line?

I don't think you know because you don't have all of the details.

edit, because i'm struggling to fathom out why somebody has had a ticket taken off them for no reason. genuine question as well mind.

I'll repeat this until im blue in the face.

None of this shit was a problem when we were shit. When they couldn't give a fuck who was at Shrewsbury or Rochdale. My first ever away ticket was from someone's else's season ticket 20 odd years ago.
This will be being passed down from the Premier League surely?

The ticketing side of things have made it clear they don’t need some of us, now we’re in the big time. You should always be careful who you piss off on the way up though, as they’ll still be there on the way back down.
The “newer” fans we’ve picked-up will sharp get bored with mid-table finishes and have shown in the past, they’re a quick to disappear as they have been to emerge from wherever they emerged from

I wonder if the people who have lost there tickets are allowed to re buy? Fastest finger first obv. But those genuine ppl caught in the cross fire are they allowed to buy or the club banning them?

Clearly given their tickets have been cancelled. Whether or not they should have been deemed to be guilty by association is another matter.

I agree with those saying that providing they have done nothing wrong to get 'round the system, i.e. farming points or whatever, then they shouldn't have had their tickets taken off them.

Aye, getting someone else to get your ticket because you can't get on at 12 or you don't have the money in the bank or whatever will grate on some, just like loads used to do the same back in the day at the ticket office, but providing they have the required points then tough shite because it has always been acceptable to the club and the system.
