Sad loss for Elliot Anderson

Been there and done that. I was doing my GCSE's when I unexpectedly lost my father. It never leaves you.

My thoughts and condolences are with the lad and his family.
Similar for me. My Dad - ostensibly fit and a war hero in the Commandos - dropped dead at 48 when I was 15.
He looked as fit as a fiddle but Players Navy Cut did for his heart.
I feel for Elliott. And my thoughts are with him and his folks.

Very, very sad.
Losing a parent at Anderson’s age is awful. It can leave you an emotional wreck. I’ve been there myself — my dad passed away when I was 33, and it completely broke me.
There was one time when I thought my grieving had eased and some friends asked me out for a night. I went, but I regretted it. I ended up breaking down in tears in front of the taxi driver who took me home, weirdly enough he looked like my dad, his big belly that got me. I was in a really bad place at that time.
I completely understand how he must be feeling.
My mum is still alive, but I’m honestly terrified of losing her. She’s 78 now and I’m 48, and that fear never really goes away.
